Kamila Licwinko said all the athletes were convinced the qualifying was over after 14 athletes cleared 1,92m but the judges specifically wanted to drop two more so forced the competition to go on. Bad luck for Spencer & Trost here.

 

Btw, the new graphics is uber trash. Like mentioned before, they don't even bother listing athletes first names before the start or during the introductions :wacko:

How can you finish without a result in long jump? If you miss the marking board by let's say 10 centimeters, it could and should be counted as a 10 cm jump.

The same goes for triple jump, your result is the place where your foot touches the ground for the third time after the line.

The method you describe was used during ancient times when they were running through sand. But next season the board will be gone and they will use a take-off zone instead. I'm unsure whether they will measure the distance from the exact take-off spot though?
