Did the calculations myself. For Weir, 70m (and 2nd) is probably the bare minimum, 71m (28th on the road to Paris) should be more than enough.

1199 for Tunks, if she can go 61.50m, and grab first won’t be enough. 63.00m will give her 1227 points, and will slot her into 30th.

1104 points and 59.07m for Tunks at the Harry Jerome Classic, improving to 35th (+1) and 1109 points in the road to Paris.

So at Nationals, a 62.00m be enough to increase her total to 1134 points, and 30th. 61.00m would put her in 31st, and 1132 points.

62.50m should be enough, and 61-00m-62.00m would be cutting it close.

OLYMPIC QUOTA!!

Andre DeGrasse 10.00 in the men’s 100m, it’s his best time since the Zurich Diamond League in September 2021!

Jerome Blake also with a very decent 10.17.

Alysha Newman with a new SB of 4.61m in women’s pole vault at the Paavo Nurmi Games!

Needed 3rd attempt clearances at that and 4.51m though.

Even with a cyst rupturing on her ovaries this morning !

Definitively seems like he's rounding into form at the right time.

Bad start too, 9.8 high (would either be an =PB or outright PB) might be possible at Olympic Trials, depending on the conditions.

Promising signs for his 200m, he might need to better his 19.62 in order to win one of the minor medals (Lyles is untouchable, should be between him, Tebogo, Bednarek, Hughes, Knighton for silver and bronze)

    • Also it being illegal in France means the IOC will have to test everyone pre arriving at 2030 and can’t wait till they arrive at the Games to do so. I’m sure at 2028 for some sports testing will happen on site if it’s not a rule of its governing body for non Olympic events. So far only a few sports like Athletics and Boxing have that rule - I suspect others will adopt it but others might take time.
    • https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/olympics/articles/cpwj78lxypro ‘In France - one of a number of countries where genetic testing is illegal without a medical prescription due to privacy laws - the government has condemned the decision as "a step backwards". "It defines the female sex without taking into account the biological specificities of intersex individuals, whose sexual characteristics present natural variations, leading to a reductive and potentially stigmatising approach," claimed French Sports Minister Marina Ferrari.”   ‘A group of legal experts in human rights and sports have since expressed, external"urgent concern" about what they called "the regressive move toward genetic testing as a precondition of participation in women's sport" which they say "violate domestic and international laws that protect human rights and regulate the use of genetic testing and genetic information".  The group has called on athletes "to challenge the national or regional implementation of mandatory genetic sex testing, demanded by the IOC or international federations, before domestic courts, by invoking national or regional laws protecting human rights, prohibiting anti-discrimination, and regulating the use of genetic testing and genetic data".’   Domestic laws are more challenging for the IOC to deal with than CAS. Things could get complicated for a bit.
    • Except NOC’s and governing bodies have to still follow local laws. Particularly for Under 18’s there could certainly be domestic legal issues regarding associations paying for travel to other counties to circumvent a domestic ban. Child protection services don’t always act reasonable to attempts to break a domestic law.
