Next weekend womens stage in Maribor is cancelled (again) due warm weather and lack of snow (again)

 

Any reason why FIS constantly keep giving organizations to the same resorts year after year ?

The FIS is so stupid … The event was cancelled in the last 10 years in: 2012, 2014, 2016 (Slalom), 2018, 2020, 2021, 2022 …

Because the climate change is not Maribor's fault. Seems like there is a deal in the background about changing venues to Kranjska Gora if necessary.

Not sure if we could expect more Swiss names to join the non-starting list...

 

Shiffrin will reportedly compete.

7 degrees at Sljeme today, hence why the course looks more muddy than snowy. :wacko:

 

I guess the men's race will be held in impossible conditions tomorrow, but it should get colder in the evening tomorrow. Much colder. But the question is when exactly.
