Monzanator 3,845 Posted July 15, 2022 #132 Share Posted July 15, 2022 Just now, AsensioWillemsen said: I'm not well known in race walking, would this be a huge upset if wins? Someone from South America winning gold in race walking isn't an upset but Peru of all countries winning it would be one IMO.

One would assume race walking in triathlon would be enough of a time punishment by itself. If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! She is world’s top 10, but I’m told the Chinese has beat her every other race this year. And it looks like the athlete known the world over as “the Polish girl” is closing in on silver! Monzanator 3,845 Posted July 15, 2022 #136 Share Posted July 15, 2022 Last km! Looks like gold for Peru, silver for Poland. That would be a huge success for both of them.
Werloc 3,151 Posted July 15, 2022 #137 Share Posted July 15, 2022 Honestly weird overperformance from Katarzyna with no prior honours even in European level. Makes me sad that so many Lithuanians were not able to replicate this success having so many good athletes in the past, Brigita Virbalytė and Živilė Vaiciukevičiūtė came closest with 4th and 5th in ECH 2018.
