Taipei's on theverge of losing the chance to play for Gold even if they beat KOR earlier (they pay the prize of not having thrashed CHN and Koreas's half-surprising win over JPN)...

the game's not over, but they are down 3-0 and in a difficult situation in the 7th inning against JPN...

because of the strange tie-breaking criteria in international round robin baseball, their only chance is getting a W today, which isn't likely to happen at the moment...

Last action packed day coming up in these Asian games... Before the curtains are finally drawn on Sunday till 2022...... :nopompom::(

and I already feel like I lost somebody  this time I had this feeling 3-4 days before the end. mostly because our favorite sports were done early. now we have to wait 2 more years for the Olympics !

that was fun. as usual even though the official website was terrible and as usual certain things in favor of the host but still I enjoy it very much as I always do. I will write about my good and bad memories later. because there is still one day to go with couple of important finals !

btw. looks like we will finish 6th in the medal table with Uzbekistan being in all 7 men's boxing finals. and with that Uzbek guy in charge of AIBA. there is a big chance they win all 7 gold medals and surpass Iran in the medal table. Kazakhstan most probably can't do that anymore.

and finally Japan won 5-0 against TPE and joined KOR in the (men's) Baseball Gold Medal match (tomorrow @ 4 p.m. local time)...

Was Thailand not allowed to enter a team in Men's Sepak Takraw Regu and Quadrant?

The rule is Indonesia can enter all events and other countries can only enter 2 men's events. (While Malaysia somehow entered 3, for some controversial reason)

When SEA Games mindset brought to higher level.. this happens

And with the president announcing the 2032 bid, I fear the future...

    • Is it true Mehdi Taremi could face visa issues due to him serving in the IRGC previously? Could US sanction professional footballers playing in World cup under FIFA?
    • For the summary and lowlights of Thailand's preparation in hosting the ongoing Sea Games, I kindly suggest those who are interested to read from this English language article from Thai media outlet, Thai Enquirer: https://www.thaienquirer.com/63469/thailands-sea-games-2025-under-fire-budget-management-and-technical-controversies/
    • It's all hogwash especially in the short attention span generation. Like nobody cares about Free Tibet anymore either. Free Palestine will last a lot longer due to Saudi Arabia becoming a sponsorship force in sports.   Israel is too weak in soccer to qualify from UEFA zone. The only time they qualified was from the Asian zone and they only beat Australia & New Zealand who were complete nobodies in the 1960s. No such luck in the 60 years since.
    • Oh I assure you FIFA dodger a bullet with Israel not qualifying…   But ya that’s kind of the thing, shut up and dribble is a mantra anti LGBT people have used often. I don’t think it’s hypocritical to remind them of their position
    • Ah, yes but that's not how pro athletes are taught in North America these days? Shut up & dribble is xenophobic, racist or whatever? The hypocrisy of some of these policies were exposed during 2022 World Cup already where the Saudis played it smart and waved their own "Free Palestine' slogans. Forget LGBT rights for a moment, how many 'Free Palestine' flags will be waved in 2026? Or will those be confiscated by default? Somehow I feel this won't be met with similar backlash when China clamped down on 'Free Tibet' in 2008 OG. Saudi Arabia is more important to global markets than Iran & Egypt
    • Wisła Płock just assumed 1st position after five consecutive draws. Must be first time ever a team on a five match winless streak actually moves up to league top.
    • Well ya, which is why the Egyptian and Iranian teams can shut up and dribble :P
    • The problem is, the World Cup is not a local event. Overall it's another storm in a teacup. LGBT rights in Muslim countries won't change a damn inch becuse of one soccer match in Seattle
    • After looking at the entry list of athletes in the official website, I've changed some of my predictions in the Olympic events with these changes:   Total Tally: Thailand 87, Singapore 51, Vietnam 48, Indonesia 33, Philippines 24, Malaysia 22, Cambodia 1     Badminton (5): Malaysia 2, Thailand 1, Singapore 1, Indonesia 1   Men’s Singles: Switched from Thailand to Singapore     Boxing (11): Thailand 8, Philippines 2, Vietnam 1   Men: -54 kg (-55 kg): Thailand, -60 kg: Thailand, -63.5 kg (-65 kg): Thailand, -69 kg (-70 kg): Thailand, -80 kg: Philippines   Women: -50 kg (-51 kg): Thailand, -54 kg: Thailand, -57 kg: Thailand, -60 kg: Vietnam, -66 kg (-65 kg): Thailand, -70 kg: Philippines     Sailing (7): Thailand 4, Singapore 2, Malaysia 1   ICLA 6: Switched from Thailand to Malaysia     Taekwondo (8): Thailand 6, Vietnam 2   -67 kg: Switched from  Vietnam to Thailand     Weightlifting (5): Thailand 2, Philippines 1, Indonesia 1, Malaysia 1   Men: -65 kg: Malaysia, -94 kg (-95 kg): Thailand   Women: -53 kg: Thailand, -69 kg: Philippines, -77 kg: Indonesia   * I saw that they have actually change the weight categories to almost match that of IWF newly introduced categories from several months ago.      Wrestling (12): Vietnam 7, Philippines 3, Indonesia 2   Men's Freestyle: -57 kg: Philippines, -65 kg: Vietnam, -74 kg: Vietnam, -86 kg: Philippines Men's Greco-Roman: -67 kg: Indonesia, -77 kg: Vietnam, -87 kg: Indonesia, -97 kg: Vietnam Women's Freestyle: -50 kg: Vietnam, -53 kg: Vietnam, -57 kg: Vietnam, -62 kg: Philippines
