She should've made the semi-finals today to meet the Dutch qualification criteria, but she lost in the quarter finals.

They changed their mind. Based on her quarter final result in the final World Cup, the Dutch NOC has come to the conclusion that her form is growing and that she has good chances to compete in the final rounds of the competition. So she can go to Beijing.

Canada announced its snowboarding team but only one per gender in pgs was announced...weird.

Canada names 19 snowboarders to Olympic team. Has 7 quota spots in PGS, but only named one man and woman. And no Jasey-Jay Anderson.

Surely there must be a sanction against NOCs who accept quota places and then literally choose to leave them at home...?

Snowboarding Canada says this is an automatic process (the reallocations)... idk what to believe anymore

Given the amount of time until the Olympics the quotas will likely be reallocated.

That must be Canada-specific then, since everywhere else nothing happens until a country actively refuses or accepts a reallocated spot...

I don't think they know what they are talking about.

 

In half-pipe and slopestyle/big air the quotas they rejected show as, well, rejected. They specifically accepted a re-allocation quota in PGS while other countries rejected them. Either they are incompetent or different factions of the organization are at war with each other...
