@dcro just want to double check. In the Abu Dhabi event, both the Grand Prix and Nations Cup count towards the MER? Also can an athlete get an MER in both events or is the overarching event counted as a single event? Based on what I've read it should count for two, but maybe I'm reading it wrong.

Not 100% sure, but I believe multiple classes per event can count, yes.

Decided to show the qualifiers from the Grand Prix event prior to the Nations Cup event. Some athletes have obtained their second MER result after getting one last week while other athletes decided to compete on a different horse. The Austrian pair will have an opportunity to be the first athlete to complete the MER at the Nations Cup tomorrow. Austria still needs to qualify a quota if it wants to compete at the Olympics.

We have our first athlete/horse combo with a complete MER in jumping. Just to let everyone know once an athlete/horse combo has fulfilled the MER requirements I will stop mentioning them. Perhaps in the future I will share a link with everyone who has completed the MER requirements. As a reminder, for the Nations Cup only, an athlete can get the MER is either the first or second round. Also as this (and the Grand Prix event from earlier) were 1.60m events the MER is 8 faults or less as oppose to 4 faults or less in 1.55m events.

Jumping Wellington CSI3* Results

The following have achieved 1/3 MER result

:USA Kent Farrington (Landon)

:IRL Daniel Coyle (Gisborne VDL)

:MEX Tanimara Maria Macari Carrillo (IB Chica)

:USA Charlotte Jacobs (Edocenta)

:USA Laura Kraut (Calgary Time)

:BEL Emilie Conter (Legolas Ter Wilgen)

:USA Nichole Shahinian-Simpson (Akuna Mattata)

:EGY Nayel Nassar (El Conde)

:BEL Zoe Conter (Davidoff De Lassus)

:USA Mclain Ward (Callas)

:GBR Ben Maher (Exit Remo)

:USA Callie Schott (Garant)

:USA Raleigh Hiler (Obora's Chloe)

:IRL David Blake (Claude)

:GBR Samuel Hutton (Full House Ter Linden Z)

:USA Ashley Vogel (Madiba AG Z)

:USA Adrienne Sternlicht (Faquitol-S)

The first of 12 Wellington events to be held from now until April had a good turn out. The Brazilian group didn't fare too well with none of them reaching the MER, but there's obviously many more opportunities.

Jumping Thermal CSI3* Results

The following have achieved 1/3 MER result

:BEL Gregory Wathelet (Clarity)

:CAN Ali Ramsay (Bonita VH Keizershof Z)

:IRL Lorcan Gallagher (Copycat)

:USA Mavis Spencer (Carissimo 25)

:CAN Eric Krawitt (Cactus De Cosniere)

:IRL Conor Swail (Theo 160)

:USA Elisa Broz (Kargenta Van't Meerhof)

:USA Kyle King (Sig Chiari)

:BRA Cassio Rivetti (Nadale Van Dorperheide)

:IRL Conor Swail (Vital Chance De La Roque)

On the west side of the United States things are a bit quieter, but still a decent size is here. Thermal will have five events between now and April.

As for the eventing event in :CHI I am unable to find a website. Hopefully the FEI will update the results sooner than later.

I only found out the podium winners, but no news on the scores. Will have to wait for FEI.

Results are in from Quillota.

https://data.fei.org/Result/ResultList.aspx?p=AEA873B0354C2DDFFCC71E39299DDD4D68D16D33FC7A897C3CFE73164E9FBEDC85CA703CF95D562D86A621768D9E7146

Only the winner got MER. Just barely. 4* is no joke.

Useful 41 points for Bittner, but pretty disappointing for the Chilean team hopes. They will struggle to qualify now even if they upset Brazil or Canada at the home Pan Ams.

There is one other Chilean in Europe though, Jonathan Cisterna, whom I expect to obtain MER.

If my calculations are correct, Ibanez was two seconds away from getting the MER and I believe Lobos is good enough too (though I think this is a different horse from the last time I saw him). Of course given the limited amount of attempts an eventing rider can have in a year failing at a great opportunity such as this isn't good.

There's another event next month in Quillota. Should they fail they will be forced to travel, most likely to Colombia and/or Argentina.

And just like that the CSI4*-L event in Quillota next month has been cancelled. Only the CSI4*-S will be held.

I guess with likely only one entrant there was no point in hosting it?

Yeah, to qualify for the 4*-L, the combination needs 4*-S. And Bittner technically doesn't need L MER yet.
