:BRA Bárbara Seixas/Carol Solberg have joined Duda/Ana Patrícia as our qualified women's teams for Paris. Bárbara returns to the Games after being a silver medalist in 2016.

Very interesting situation in men's beachvolleyball qualification for the :NED teams.

 

After the World Tour Brasilia:

 

:NED Brouwer/Meeuwsen 8.600 (after 12 results)

:NED Immers/van de Velde 8.380 or 8.480 (depends on the outcome of the final) (after 12 results)

:NED Boermans/de Groot 8.000 (after 10 results)

 

Only two tournaments to go in Espinho and Ostrava. 

 

Two lowest results for Brouwer/Meeuwsen - 600 en 600.

Two lowest results for Immers/van de Velde - 460 en 400.

Rooting for both Meeuwsen/Brouwer and Boermans/De Groot, really don’t want to see convicted rapist Van De Velde :sick: qualify for the Olympics.

Isn't there a Challenger in Czech Rep right before the cut off?

I’m assuming you mean in Poland, particularly Stare Jabloncki.

 

FYI @CCB Boermans/De Groot and Van De Velde/Immers will both be there, while Brouwer/Meeuwsen will not. All three will compete at the final two Elite 16s in Espinho and Ostrava.

Maybe Brouwer and Meeuwsen will enter this competition as well. Wouldn't be surprised.

I hope the two new teams qualify, Brouwer and Meeuwsen have meant a lot to beach volleyball in the Netherlands, but I wish their young successors a ticket for the Olympic Games. But hey! What an unprecedented luxury for Dutch beach volleyball: three teams that are good enough.

      I think they incorrectly translated Ukrainian word "nahorody" - it is not a full synonym of "medal". Its cocrrect translation is "award". Meanwhile russian tennis playes switched for Potapova ->  Rakhimova ->

I mean, it's not like the Ukrainian federation, or any single federation for that matter, has the power to strip her of her world and European championships medals I hope (not for her sake, but because that would be a super weird precedent)

      Confirmation about the broadcasting rights.   If I'm reading it right, for most of Europe it will now be exclusive to Discovery/Eurosport or whatever brand they use.     For outside Europe, it's on YouTube.       Surely. Her first coach now works in russia (and grandma lives in russia according to Sereda). They were in contact and despite of full funding from  the girl decided to become the star of russian propaganda.  As I saw in X: "It took the Russians four years of war to find a relatively well-known sports personality to carry out such a propaganda operation."
