my all time favorite wrestler Heiki "do nothing" Nabi is now facing 2 years ban for doping violation. Estonia still uses the quota sending another wrestler "Artur Vititin"     I hated

The great Jordan Burroughs is not going to Tokyo :cry: he lost twice to Kyle Dake in US trials . Dake is a two time world champion at 79kg and he was the better wrestler tonight without doubt. but it was just sad to see a great champion like Burroughs leaving the mat like that. :( he didn't announce retirement in the interview after the match but I believe that was the last time for him. :cry:

USA has 15 quotas already and 12 of those wrestlers who qualified the weight for USA made the team too! only Dake and Steveson in freestyle and Stefanowicz in Greco managed to beat the guy who won the quota.

Polish open was the last round of our trials and tonight our wrestling federation officially announced the Olympic squad. in 4 weights we are sending a different wrestler than the guy who won the quota.

86: Hassan Yazdani

97: Mohammad Hossein Mohammadian

125: Amir Hossein Zare

 

Men's Greco-Roman

      no, but all the usual Olympic stars of the -57kg class were wrestling here this year (most of them go down to 57kg only at the Olympics and for the qualifiers)
