Aside Yazdani, i should have clarified. :)

All 5 are medal candidates, surely.

What about others, who is closest?

Havent watched all of them.

whoever we send in this sport is excepted to fight for a medal. (probably except Ghiasi, who is a very bad wrestler to be honest)

but in reality Hosseinkhani is far from being a medal contender, his Wch medal was 5 years ago. he wasn't even "supposed" to win the trials.

Zare and Saravi are strong medal candidates, the younger Geraei too.

back in 2016 UWW tried something else, but it seems this time they simply award the quota to the next available athlete. instead of giving it to the 7th place wrestler and reallocate him/her continental quota to the next wrestler from that continent.

if they do the same for that women's 68kg quota (Fransson's doping case) that one will go to Poland. ( 7th placed Nigeria is already qualified)

But why should the quota be reallocated? She didn't dope during the world championships it was an out of competition test in Sweden months after world championships . So Sweden has the right to replace her right? Linea Swenson may come in her place or someone else.

as they said this list is not final because we don't know if all of these 24 wrestlers will be selected in their own countries to wrestle in Tokyo. but based on what I know all of them will go to Tokyo so this seeding list is 99% final

top seeds for women's freestyle and men's Greco-Roman are also available here, of course if NOCs decide to send someone else the next wrestler in the ranking will be seeded.
