  1. Well, Mireia Belmonte alone is better than most teams...
  2. Some brazilian swimmers asked to not go to this, so we're sending a small team with not a lot of chance of medals.
  3. Kinda strange to see Lloyd here since this wasn't really a great year for her.
  4. Today was a very emotional day with the funeral of Chapecoense players. I leave here some of the best illustrations that represent the sentiment in this tragic week...
  5. For Brazil I'm thinking 6 to 12 athletes? (pending on whether we will qualify the Bobsleigh teams or not)
  6. Some of the tributes around the world today:
  7. There's so many people, that this is what the outside of the stadium looks like:
  8. Atlético Nacional has asked CONMEBOL to give the Copa Sudamericana title to Chape. Brazilian teams like Corinthians, Flamengo and Palmeiras are asking CBF to follow some measures in order to relief this tragic news. Among them: free loan of players for the 2017 season and "immunity" in the next three Brazilian championships (meaning they couldn't be relegated to Series B even if they finish among the last four teams). Through social media, clubs and fans are suggesting that people vote for the goalkeeper Danilo as the best player of Brasileirao 2016. Champion Palmeiras (who won the title in a match against Chape just two days ago) wants to play the last match of the championship wearing Chape's jersey. Copa do Brasil final and last round of Brazilian championship have been moved for next week.
  9. Last week, our Whatsapp group with brazilians members from Totallympics was following the Copa Sudamericana semifinal and we were just so happy for Chape. As you said, they are a small team that suddenly were among the best in Brazil. Right now, I wish San Lorenzo could have scored that goal in the last minute.
  10. Devastating.
  11. Player Alan Ruschel the first survivor to arrive at the hospital. Reports saying there's a lot of survivors on site waiting for rescue.
  12. Of those 72 passengers, 48 are Chapecoense players/staff, 21 brazilian journalists and 3 guests. There were also 9 people from the plane crew which brings the total to 81. A colombian radio station is saying there are 2 deaths confirmed, but I'm gonna wait for official news.
  13. Many conflicting reports, but nothing official so far. I'm so nervous, hoping for the best.
  14. Plane carrying Brazilian football team Chapecoense crashes in Colombia. I can't sleep with these news.
  15. Maybe because it was actually released before 2012.
  16. Murray

  22. More from Lima 2019 venues:
  23. Some of the projects for the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima. In this link is possible to watch a video with the renders.
  24. Brazil Little Joy is a group formed by brazilian musicians Rodrigo Amarante (originally from the group Los Hermanos) and Frabizio Moretti (best known as the drummer of The Strokes), plus singer Binki Shapiro (who sings the portuguese bit in the song we present here). "Next Time Around" comes from their eponymous debut (and only) album, which met critical acclaim during its release in 2008. The video was shot with a vintage camera and shows some famous places of Rio. Little Joy - "Next Time Around" One too many goals That measure out your worth To seek your weight in gold Sat by the ivory sill The further out you look The further out you'll be It's not enough to set the terms If nothing ventured, nothing earned Though odds are set against In time, I'll belong to you It's how it's meant to be Settled on your own Sweeping dust from stones With a letter home Back where the hour's long The simplest things invite a thrill If just by noticing at will It's not enough to set the terms If nothing ventured, nothing earned It's how it's always been E onde a sorte há de te levar (And wherever fate takes you) Saiba o caminho é o fim, mais que chegar (Know that the path is the goal, rather than arriving) E queira o dia ser gentil (And if the day wants to be kind) À tua mão aberta pra quem é (Keep your hand open to whoever it be) In time, I'll belong to you That's how it's meant to be And how it's always been
