@OlympicIRL Maybe we could have a tribute to international sports songs sometime during the 16 days? People could post their favorite Olympic theme songs, FIFA theme songs, goal songs, etc. Just a nice way to celebrate some sports history through music. 

Match judges and who they voted for will be kept secret.... AIBA would love this

I think the easiest way to solve the jury voting in each match is just to allow everyone to vote in each match except for those jurors who have songs in that group.

I was so happy when I booked time off work for the 2 week duration of the Olympics. Little did I know the Olympics would be cancelled and I would be organising this

Ok and this is just so I can get my head around the logistics of this. An example of what a schedule may look like if we had something like 32 participants and 8 groups of 4. I have factored in a day for repechages in case we cannot simplify to 16 after the group stages and also voting days before the semi-finals and the medal matches to give extra time for members to vote in these important stages of the contest.
The problem is I will not be available for some of those days as I will be on holiday from work at that time and I want to spend time doing other things
 
Also any ideas for TISC tributes? I think it's also fitting since this is a milestone TISC year with edition #15 coming up so will be nice to have some tributes or celebrations.

Well, the funny thing is that actually this one is the correct one Officially if the national flag is hung vertically, the emblem must be in the middle.

We're having another virtual competition on a Dutch forum, this time based on allround speed skating: 500m, 3000m, 1500m, 5000m. We've got four days for every 'stage', the times are calculated to points based on the 500m like in speed skating.
 
Today I'm going for the 500m, that is going to hurt like hell  No idea what to really expect, since I don't usually do something like this, but based on some 250m intervals and fastest 1km times and so on I'm hoping for a time under 2:00.0

Next thing you know they're gonna say Azerbaijan played a little dirty, jeez, the bias.

That helicopter sound made me think that we will be rejoining the peloton any second now.

Went ahead and made my first “big” purchase this afternoon. I feel like I paid more than the item was worth, but at least the athlete is getting the money. 
 
I’d also be curious as to what you guys think is the appropriate price for a gold medal from the Mediterranean Beach Games? This isn’t the item I purchased, but I have seen one for sale recently.

Because Murica. Anyway, burning flags is childish. Crying about a burned flag is just as childish. People should grow up a little and not treat their flag as if it's their own child  

tbh, I'm more disgusted by the fact that all the weightlifting world is still considered a sport and has full Olympic status than by the things revealed here (which were well known even without this report)...
 
and if we have to consider the fact that Ajan was one of the founding members of WADA and the Cologne Laboratory history, how can we still trust this bunch of cheaters???
