Catholics in general (in California) will mostly accept (or at least vaguely tolerate) LGBTQIA+ people. Conservative Catholics are more against it. The Evangelical groups are definitely the ones leadings the anti-LGBTQ charge in the US. Absolutely agree with the last sentence though. Pretty much why I'm agnostic/atheist. I want nothing to do with organized religion.
