  1. Ahmad Badreddin Wais finished 47th in the 2018 Mediterranean Games road race. Interestingly, he’s listed as competing for Syria there. However, that might have been administratively necessary to compete, since the CIJM doesn’t currently recognize a refugee team. For record he did finish the race, but over the time limit.
  2. I believe they are IOC Executive Invitations (which means they don’t come from the original quota allocations).
  3. From what I remember, they were originally targeting 30, so that number is around the rumored target that comes to mind.
  4. No problem. There are two fairly good ways to find full session/event replays. The first option is using the menu at this link: https://olympics.com/en/olympic-games/olympic-videos The second is to click on this link, and scroll down to the section titled “relive past games.” Click on the Games you wish to see replays for, and then select the “replays/highlights” option when taken to a second page. Link: https://olympics.com/en/olympic-games I will say that I’ve had a lot of trouble/difficultly with the website recently. Sometimes to the menus don’t work, or the replays don’t show up, or some videos have disappeared, search function doesn’t work, etc. I haven’t been to upset/down about it because this is a new UI and website, so there was bound to issues. I’m just hopeful that they’re still learning from and fixing problems they run into along the way.
  5. They’re also revamping/creating a new app during this period, which I believe they plan to drop in time for Tokyo 2020.
  6. So…Mark Padun Impressive back to back stage wins on mountain finishes during the Dauphiné.
  7. It’s also not a part of France Assuming @Benolympique is talking about (French) Guiana
  8. I think unfortunately these skaters were competitive a little before my time. My gut says go for C, but your guess is as good as mine. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help here.
  9. I’m around and available to serve as an “expert.”
  10. Rosas and McGonagle earn quotas. This should also mean that has earned a quota on reallocation.
  11. has guaranteed two quotas on the women’s side.
  12. I believe Japan is guaranteed a second surfer on the men’s side. Murakami is the only surfer guaranteed a top 6 finish that’s eligible for a quota.
  13. Women’s K4 500m - / (Min. Entry: 12 / Max. Entry: 12) Women’s C2 500m - / (Min. Entry: 13 / Max Entry: 13)
  14. Men’s K4 500m - / (Min. Entry: 10 / Max Entry: 10) Men’s C1 1000m - / (x2)(x2)(x2)(x2)(x2)(x2)(x2) (Min. Entry: 13 / Max. Entry: 34)
  15. Women’s K1 500m - / (x2)(x2)(x2) (x2)(x2)(x2)(x2)(x2)(x2)(x2)(x2) (Min. Entry: 14 / Max. Entry: 49) Women’s C1 200m - / (x2)(x2)(x2)(x2)(x2)(x2)(x2) (Min Entry: 14 / Max. Entry: 34)
  16. Men’s K2 1000m - / (x2)(x2)(x2)(x2)(x2)** (Min. Entry: 10 / Max. Entry: 27) *= one of the athletes must also participate in the K1 200m Men’s K1 200m - / (x2)(x2)(x2)(x2)(x2) (x2)(x2)(x2)(x2)(x2)**(x2)*(x2)*** (Min. Entry: 12 / Max. Entry: 48) *= both athletes must also participate in the K2 1000m **= one athlete must also participate in the K2 1000m
  17. Women’s K2 500m - / (x2)(x2)(x2)(x2)(x2)*** (Min. Entry: 11 / Max. Entry: 31) *= one of the athletes must also participate in the K1 200m Women’s K1 200m - / (x2)(x2)(x2)(x2)(x2)(x2)(x2)(x2)*(x2)*(x2)*(x2)* (Min. Entry: 15 / Max. Entry: 51) *= both athletes must also participate in the K2 500m
  18. For part 2 of this little project, I’ll be listing the events by competition groups (2 at a time based on order of events at the Games) because the competition scheduling can actually effect a country’s ability to enter an event in some cases. Men’s K1 1000m - / (x2)(x2)(x2)(x2)(x2)(x2)(x2)(x2)(x2) (Min. Entry: 16 / Max. Entry: 45) Men’s C2 1000m - / (Min. Entry: 13 / Max. Entry: 13)
  19. Women’s Kayak - 6 - 5 - 4 - 2 - 1 - Women’s Canoe - 3 - 2 - 1 -
  20. I was bored, so I made this. This first part lists how many athlete quotas a nation has in each boat type per gender, and the second part lists the possible boat entries per event (countries listed the left of the “/“ must field a boat, countries have listed to the right have the option to field a boat). This is all based on the current general understanding of the qualification system, and there could very well be errors. Men’s Kayak - 6 - 5 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1 - Men’s Canoe - 3 - 2 - 1-
  21. Fantastic heat to end women’s repechage round 6. Haven’t watched much surfing, but that was fun.
  22. How’d I know you’d ask that? I think because your support for Ecuador is already so strong, and because they don’t really fit the small/lesser known criteria, this perhaps isn’t the right thread for that support. Maybe it’s time to open a National thread for Ecuador? That will absolutely work. I’ll add that to the first post when we get a few more users involved.
