  1. Sepp Ferstl (yeah, Josef's dad) and Josef Walcher were the last ones to share victory on the Streif when they beat out Michael Veith (+0,04) and Franz Klammer (+0,09) in 1978 on the downhill
  2. Right, time for the Streif
  3. Sadly, Straver passed away last night, aged 48.
  4. More like a SG than a GS but yeah
  5. Gracenote predictions are not to be taken seriously Just like looking at previous Olympics and drawing a line or something to predict a nation's medals is utterly worthless
  6. 6th place for Vlhova and that's after a pretty big mistake at the bottom
  7. TV went away right before Vlhova came on course...not sure that's the brightest idea ever
  8. The weather is very much helping in keeping this exciting
  9. Ortlieb dumping her first ever podium - and possibly even win - right into the trash can.
  10. I generally cheer for oldies who are in it forever but still haven't actually won (or gotten a podium, although that's not the case for Clarey). Especially considering how hard Clarey was hit by Poisson's death - he said the entire season, including the Olympics, felt like he (Clarey) was just a ghost, like he didn't actually compete in all those races - I'd just love to see him take that win.

  12. Miradoli truly had a magical line after intermediate 3
  13. North Korea through against the South, Hungary through, cool day
  14. Yeah sure, quote the whole freaking thing
  15. So I didn't miss much there Here's to Gangwon 2024, may it be much more like Lillehammer 2016 than Lausanne was.
  16. Those Russian penalties
  17. And that's the same few things that were on YouTube?
  18. Clovis Kamzong won the 4th stage in La Tropicale, which could very well be the first ever pro victory for a rider from Cameroon https://www.procyclingstats.com/race/la-tropicale-amissa-bongo/2020/stage-4
  19. I know it all doesn't mean that much, but still, 3rd and 1st for Clarey in the two trainings in Kitzbühel....I'm going to get my hopes up. I know he probably won't win, but if he does I'll most likely jump out of my chair straight through the roof.
  20. They were some of the angriest bobsledders I've seen in a while after that crash, they were ready to punch some holes in someone
  21. 16 races this weekend or you mean the total for the Youth/Junior worlds?
  22. A dickhead as he is, Zimmerman is of mixed-race. Not that I care much about one's race, but if terminology is an issue, it'd be a good idea to use the right ones on both sides (since a victim of exactly the same heritage as Zimmerman would definitely be called mixed-race - or something comparable - if he were in the sad position of Trayvon Martin).
  23. I've only seen season one so far and yeah, that was very good. One of the few series of which I've actually got a song on my phone, season two is coming after I've wrapped up some other shows.
