  1. I'm talking about the ones who are from countries where more and more are getting in the bigger teams, like Eritrea. They are in it to be a pro cyclist, not just to compete in those championships. Obviously it's still early days for African cycling, but they really do need to learn those things, especially if we want to see an African win a race like this.
  2. Tore Bjørseth Berdal won the 70km Marcialonga in the Val di Fiemme today, which again sadly looked rather...underwhelming in terms of snow situation. Nothing beats the Vasaloppet Anyhow, Berdal beat Petter Eliassen and Tord Asle Gjerdalen after attacking at the end of the final climb. Kari Vikhagen Gjeitnes won the women's race which was surprisingly competitive for a change: Astrid Slind finished only 7 seconds behind.
  3. In the Bongo Natnael Tesfatsion showed he, like most African riders, still has a whole lot to learn in terms of tactics...throwing away the GC win by one second because of not paying attention in the intermediate sprints https://www.procyclingstats.com/race/la-tropicale-amissa-bongo/2020/stage-7
  4. Richie Porte did NOT win the final Tour Down Under stage After 6 consecutive wins on Willunga Hill, he now came in only 2nd (and still won the overall) Matthew Holmes of Lotto-Soudal won the final stage, quite a big surprise for the World Tour rookie.
  5. Oh and in which city the 2009 Francophone Games were held isn't the main thing I've remembered neither
  6. I forgot Definitely the poem, that was a pure gamble of course. The Hey there Delilah one was a gamble as well but magically I had that right, I never knew that was about sports in any way
  7. Yeah that annoying GPS thing is why I'm planning to set my watch on a 22km countdown for the estimated finish time instead of selecting 'Half marathon'. If I go with 22km and it says I'm on pace for 2:00-2:02 or something, I'm pretty confident that means sub-2 hour for the actual half marathon
  8. The chance of that is probably bigger now that she'll skip a race instead of forcing her body beyond it's limits.
  9. If Fourcade ends up face down in the snow after the finish, you know it was hard.
  10. I hope Fourcade brought some coins to pay for the parking he's doing right there.
  11. JTB is not nearly fast enough to threaten QFM
  12. Awesome win for Fillon Maillet.
  13. Just above 53 minutes is more than excellent Ever tried running a bit slower? That'd make the half marathon a lot easier
  14. That's next level conspiracy If it came from a lab and not (like pretty much every related virus) from animals, I'd still think the biggest chance is it 'leaked' in some sort of accident in a normal research lab instead of bio-warfare
  15. I hope she's not expecting the same results on normal speed courses though, if there was one weekend to try it, it was obviously this one where the technical specialists had a huge advantage
  16. I'd love to see Zenhäusern in a metal band.
  17. Vlhova throwing away a potential podium with that mistake.
  18. I guess I'm alone in my opinion of liking the NASCAR play-off system? Not that we should have it in other series as well, but I like different series having different systems, sort of.
  19. Gauche again into the nets, and again apparently uninjured.
  20. Shiffrin as shy as I've ever seen her when asked on live TV if she could speak some German "because I've heard you're learning it a little"
  21. Thanks for the try, Delago.
  22. Still not counting out Vlhova neither
  23. Good, that means it's probably just a matter of waiting for them to fix it instead of having to do anything by ourselves
  24. Right, it's not just me then! I've been getting annoyed while watching several sports on it, low quality, slow loading, random pausing every now and then (and the internet connection on my desktop computer is more than excellent, that's not the problem - all kinds of other streams work fine as always). Luckily things like alpine skiing and biathlon I can watch live on German TV, since Eurosport is busy showing one tennis match on both ES1 and ES2 half the time.
