  1. Yeah, because USA won't completely hype her as American of course (which she is)
  2. If ever there is a moment for a team to win an Olympic medal..
  3. Damn it Clarey, so close again!
  4. I do remember it was already in the news every day when ebola (definitely in some African countries we generally hear literally nothing but misery about) had a couple of hundred infected people. That has a higher mortality rate, sure, but at least here people don't specifically find China more or less interesting than other parts of the world. Also: there's just a whole lot less 'connection' with Liberia or Sierra Leone or something, a ton of countries have thousands of people in China and so evacuations are a bigger deal. I'm curious where you read the daily reported new patients in other parts outside Hubei is decreasing now, since the numbers those other regions publish to the outside world show an increase, not a decrease.
  5. Peter Fill's last race. No way this is a coincidence
  6. Ready for the Kandahar downhill
  7. Well a lot of 68-year olds enjoy their retirement as well and I'm fairly sure I heard him all last season basically I miss his harsh voice going all "he's got 121 speed!!!"
  8. Dukurs and Hermann win, surprise surprise Yun really didn't have the set-up right in run two. By the way, where on earth is John Morgan?
  9. It's about time they give this thing a better, easier name than just 2019-nCoV.
  10. At least he went from losing 3 seconds per run to losing 1.5-2 seconds per run
  11. Excellent choice by Shiffrin (and Vlhova, in case she was thinking about it) not to go to Sochi. That would have been a major waste of time
  12. Or find a downhill venue somewhere
  13. Aren't all of them in skeleton though? Wrong thread man Wouldn't it be rather hard for Gambia anyway, since Frimpong seems steadily ahead of him and even with continental quotas there shouldn't be more than 1 'free quota' I think?
  14. Brand new Youth Olympic champions Marco Wörgötter making a more than excellent World Cup debut, in which he's already secured of a top-30 finish.
  15. There have been multiple cases there though. Why not have - say - a speed skating event in Ürümqi, with 18 cases in it's entire (huge) state, but no problem with going to Germany or something? To be fair, most of the other countries with cases do seem to have a much better grip on it, but still. I'd mostly avoid going to Hubei province itself for now..
  16. So you would avoid the USA, Thailand, South Korea, Australia, Canada, Germany, France etc as well?
  17. Who here is blaming their way of life? And just to clarify: saying maybe the hygiene in some markets are not exactly helping in not having weird diseases transfer from animals to humans is not a racist thing.
  18. Which events are they dominating? It's definitely a sport where - especially in terms of juniors - I wouldn't look too much at rankings, like in mountainbiking.
  19. And Antarctica. And South America
  20. Interesting. I'm quite glad we have a pretty basic test (like basic knowledge about the country, a language test and so on) before being able to become a citizen, but I guess it's different everywhere.
  21. The main weirdos of the EU are gone, what's there to cry about?
  22. Those commentators are just brilliant and the kangaroo stopping right when they say cutting that corner takes away his fastest lap time is perfection
  23. I'm fairly sure there was a World Cup or something there once? It very much sounds like I've seen something from Milwaukee before
  24. Two minutes after the deadline and the official EU website still lists 28 member states, including the UK. How unprofessional! https://europa.eu/european-union/about-eu/countries_en
  25. Bye bye
