  1. That looks quite odd. As if the earth rises there. What a weird thing to see!
  2. Does Germany also have statistics about a huge majority of intensive care patients being very much overweight? Here it's around 80 to 90 percent of patients who are overweight, by far the most common 'underlying condition'.
  3. Drive 6km to find a hill? What is this 'hill' thing you speak of?
  4. I'm going to rewatch the 2006 final. Actually, only the best ever Eurovision entry and the only one with which I was really, really, really happy (apart from last year, I'll admit) for it to win Rock 'n roll angels
  5. That seems a little unnecessary. I thought there was not specifically a maximum age, but a 'minimum day of birth'. Meaning that people eligible this year would be eligible even if they postponed it to 2022.
  6. Haha, yet they want non-American companies who happen to have stuff produced in the US to produce only for the US
  7. No, we've been trying to tell people we want to go to Krk but they have no idea what we're saying. Can't we quarantine in a place with vowels?
  8. Go with the hair trimmer (or scissors and then your shaving thing if you really want to go drastic) and enjoy the breeze on your head
  9. My parents living in a nursing home is way better for them (and everyone) than them coming to live with me, trust me Well maybe they won't need it anyway, my grandma lives by herself without problems for example Personally I've always been very strongly on team 'Living together with your partner before marrying' but yeah I know that's not the same everywhere (even here some people consider it basically a sin to live together without being married....the parents of my sister's boyfriend have had quite some trouble accepting them living together since last month for example, religious fanatics )
  10. 25 days ago, Queen Elizabeth moved up to 4th in the list of all-time longest-reigning known/confirmed monarchs of sovereign states in world history, passing a 7th century (!) Mayan ruler https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_longest-reigning_monarchs
  11. Because people like independence when they grow older instead of always having to follow someone else's rules (since it's their home) or having to keep in mind what the other people want like you're still a child Wise advice can be given through the phone and internet nowadays, I'm getting out of here as soon as it's financially feasible for me Well that and I can't really let my girlfriend move in with me and my parents and have zero sense of privacy
  12. Not at all, my dad is the one who cuts my hair. Or rather, he just goes at it with one of these things for a few minutes and it's good as new Thing cost me maybe 40-50 euro once against going to a barber and paying 15 euro or something once every 5-6 weeks
  13. Can't wait for the 20164 Olympics, I wonder which planet they'll choose this time
  14. 1. P 2. e 3. n 4. g 5. u 6. i 7. n Oh fuck
  15. That's a pretty impressive goal (definitely out of my reach, at least for now), good luck
  16. Nothing in life is more important than De Ronde in Belgium, so it's live on Belgian TV
  17. 18. I'm putting down some money on you to win! Any goals in terms of times or something?
  19. Too bad they only slightly mention the distance instead of focusing on that.
  20. Wow, important federation people using federation money for personal advantages, I've never seen that before in biathlon!
  21. Right, trained for the half marathon, so ran a half marathon. Actually 22km according to my watch, because just like in my 'test' a month ago I set it to 22km, to make sure even with possible GPS inaccuracy I could reasonably assume I did in fact run a half marathon (21,1km). The goal was 2:12 hours, meaning an average of 6:00/km, and I kept track of it after every kilometer. Only four of them were not faster than 6:00 and with two times 6:07 and two times 6:00 it was rather marginally, they were all in the first 7km as well, after that my rhythm got better. I managed to slowly but surely increase the pace a little, as the 5km splits show: 30:00, 29:33, 29:11, 28:30 (and the last 2km had an average speed that again was a bit faster). Legs were dying in the last 3-4km, especially the last 2km I had to really grit my teeth and count down the 100 meters. Only in the very last 50 meters or so two steps felt like a major cramp was about to pop up in my calves, but as by miracle it didn't and I could go on until the end in, according to Polar, 2:08.17 hours (and 2:03.25 for the HM distance), so I am very, very much satisfied and proud
  22. Indian users: please say today's story about a couple in Raipur naming their twins Covid and Corona is fake?
  23. Right, race day
