  1. Oh no, small crowds in a time when gathering in large crowds is quite literally idiotic.
  2. My entire top-3 for today is in the lead group. That's the good thing, the bad thing is they're with 33 others.
  3. That's Bjoerndalen you're talking about, this was about M Fourcade.
  4. So that goes to Martin Fourcade now or what? I had hoped it'd be an interesting winner, not the one who already won a gazillion of these things
  5. Hell no, and just to be sure there won't be any saws or blowtorches nearby
  6. I thought it was some political thing I'm still thinking about where to place Slovakia, there are two options
  7. And Trump will because he's known to have no good connections with China and Russia at all?
  8. Delegation location 4 - Elburg We travel a little to the north of Epe, where we find the small and historic city of Elburg. Home to a little over 23.000 people, with a whopping three Olympians originating here: Anne van Schuppen (athletics, 1996), Kira Bulten (swimming, 1992) and Dick Boschman (shooting, 2000 + 2004). Elburg is an old city: apart from ancient Roman finds around the area it was a part of the Hanseatic League in the Middle Ages. It's position at the sea made it an important trade and fishing harbour and Elburg greatly flourished in these times, as was for example shown by the fact they made some impressive defensive fortifications around the city. In the 20th century, the sea was closed off and with Elburg now being next to a lake instead of a sea, the fishing industry - while still existing - got way smaller, due to the changes in the types of fish that could be caught. Nowadays it's mostly tourism that keeps Elburg standing, although that's not necessarily a negative thing at all. When walking around in Elburg, one really can feel like going back to medieval times, large parts of the centuries old wall are still there, for example. A great attraction would be to go there around Christmas time to 'Winter in de Vesting' ('Winter in the Fortress'), and walk around in a cold, dark and happy little ancient town. It's just not big, but it's definitely worth it. No, it doesn't look that old, but this is the city centre with a street pattern laid out centuries ago - the church in the top left is the 14th century St Nicolas Church The Vischpoort ('Fish Gate'), the only remaining gate that was built into the defensive wall half a millenium ago Houses have been integrated into the city wall during the centuries Delegations in Elburg Czech Republic Hungary Romania

  10. Every nation that hasn't voted yet, has received a message to remind them
  11. And that's now 20 nations that are officially in, since at least one jury member has sent in their votes. A little bit of intermediate statistics about the preliminary results: - More than 11 nations can already cheer for at least one point, that's almost a third of the entire list of participants! - There is at least one (1) leader at this very moment, but it could also be either more or not! - At least 20 times has a selection of 12 points been sent! - So far, not a single country has managed to collect more than 240 points!
  12. Sunday is sports day, screw that. Do it on a day where it doesn't mean missing sports
  13. We call Amsterdam 'far away', but yeah, we're only a small country If I take my bike I can see Walibi within 15 minutes or so (on the other side of the water and only the top of the rollercoasters, but still ).
  14. Those last days were....disappointing for my points Maybe I should have done the changing stages every day a bit more, but I generally forgot it even with the mentions
  15. Yep! They have it every year (mostly around the summer and autumn) and always with a different theme. This year the theme was around 75 years of liberation and (together with @brunamoura) I visited it for the first time. I always thought it sounded a bit dull, but actually it is really interesting and cool to walk around
  16. Good thing Sölden is already behind him and it's a while before his main events are coming up, so it shouldn't be much of an issue probably.
  17. Lemi Williamson must be a sister of Shane? Cool to see a new 10k name!
  18. Honestly I knew there's a ton of history around here, but I had no idea Ermelo's church is over a thousand years old! Makes me want to hop on my bike next week
  19. Maybe Slovak paprikas are different, but yellow, green and red paprikas here really don't differentiate much in terms of being sweet, spicy or hot.
