  1. If my calculations are correct (and luckily this season so far they generally are), that should result in these points: Jaque 103,36 Bruna 186,36 Mika 218,28 Duda 241,58 Putting Bruna roughly 140 points ahead of Duda in the internal ranking now (I'll wait a little with that until the points are on the FIS website and I enter them in my table)!
  2. A day earlier one was 26 minutes behind due to a 10 minute penalty. This penalty was a 5-time 2-minute penalty for this: Considering he had five 'misses' in the standing shooting, I wonder....has he simply skied straight through the shooting range instead of even standing in a position to shoot?! https://ibu.blob.core.windows.net/docs/2122/BT/SIBU/CP04/SMSP/C73B_v1.pdf
  3. Hubertus getting DSQ'ed in a racefixing race, dude.
  4. Q-School The opponent, a German (at least on paper), might have been 'playing' for someone else. If you had a throw, you're officially in and allowed to play in the Challenge Tour. After Van Dongen translated the situation of his 'opponent' to the referee (English/German language barrier), the German gave him a beer and left
  5. She got a 242 or so in Campra, maybe she thinks one sub-300 is enough? I mean, that'd be very poor reading of the rules, but I can't think of another explanation other than "Nah never mind, don't want to go anyway"... Who knows, maybe if this doesn't work out for Ponya and Hungary has to give back their quota, that one and Thailand's second spot are the first two returned spots on the way to a third Brazilian ticket, possibly making this whole mess of the past two months a moot point
  6. All other Brazilians are on there as well (two of whom are still on their way from Poland), which should mean that the federation won't suddenly decide not to count these races. You never know, but that seems good...
  7. Mind you, the races in Switzerland alone in the weekend (a sprint and a 5k classic) might even be enough to make it even without the Serbia races, which by itself would be more of a performance than most gold medals won during the Olympics considering this effort to work against her...
  8. Just in case, does anyone know specifically what would be needed for a case at CAS?
  9. Wonderful. The next step is that the rest of the team is suddenly also going to Serbia.....which they explicitly said they wouldn't, and so was nothing but another sabotaging move. Thing is, they are too late with the entries (because of the earlier situation in which the federation didn't register anyone), and if they are indeed not allowed to start, according to the federation....neither is Bruna (allowed to start). Which would mean she would have gone to Serbia for literally nothing, other than to miss a race where she could have scored decent points (Zakopane) due to the federation/coach's moves. This is getting more unbelievable every day, seriously.
  10. Sprint results in Zakopane: 292.28 for Duda, replacing her 608 points. 358.66 for Mika, replacing a 394 (but not getting significantly closer to ending up with a sprint average of under 300, and so not much changed there) Duda now passed Bruna and is 220 points or so ahead, but she was expected to do so after erasing the 608 points in the sprint. Just like Bruna will normally erase her 648 points in a distance race the first chance she gets (which should be tomorrow). Duda's main point of improvement now is a 481 sprint and a 333 distance, for Bruna it's a 648 distance and 421 sprint.
  11. Damn. Also ran in the 4x400m final in Tokyo (where Trinidad was doing well until St Hillaire got injured
  12. Is biathlon actually gaining popularity? I don't know if it's because of the cynical posts on here so often, but I somehow feel like every sport in the world has a huge decline in popularity Other than football, of course.
  13. I think she overheard it (or rumours about it) somewhere, but it's important, so you know...trying to go after all available information
  14. Right, I'll give that a try if I manage to dig up my password somewhere
  15. Interesting, since earlier today 'we' were told that the races are likely to be cancelled.... Do you know if there is any way to contact this TSK Ravno Gorac/Ravnogorac? I tried an email last week, but got no answer. By the way, she arrived in Zlatibor last night after a 19-hour trip, and this morning was told she wasn't registered for the races by the Brazilian federation. Apparently the 'coach' of the team had told the federation's 'registration guy' "No, nobody is going to Serbia ". Luckily it seems she managed to solve this right on time with help of the (very friendly and very helpful!) Serbian organization, if she had arrived today it would have been too late... It's now going to come down to this for the second ticket, basically: 1) Bruna in Zlatibor vs Duda in Zakopane during the week 2) Whoever vs whoever (not sure yet) in Ravna Gora (if not cancelled), Bad Mitterndorf (AUT) or, most likely, Zweisimmen-Sparenmoos (SUI) during the final weekend
  16. This is arguably the worst part of the situation. Allow him into the country (which I hope), don't allow him into the country, whatever, but at the very least treat him (and everyone in the same situation of course) as a human being. I mean, keep his main baggage from him if you suspect he has a gun there or something (which is not the case of course), but not if the problem is related to paperwork...
  17. For the competition I'm hoping Djokovic will simply compete, despite not being a big fan of him. The only thing that really makes me go 'ugh' is Djokovic's father literally comparing his son, a tennis player, with Jesus Christ himself (and in doing so, basically calling himself God) The guy either can or can not compete and go for his umpteenth title (great if he can, a shame if he can't, but that's about it), he is not going to be literally nailed to a cross (at least I most certainly hope he's not!)
  18. To be fair, Bowe isn't going to get any more established than she already is in the sport (and I mean that in a good way, not in a "she's not good enough" way!), so it's not like she has that much to gain when looking at 2026. It basically just makes sense in every single way other than if Bowe specifically wanted to do as many races as possible, which wouldn't make sense if the downside is you might lose some 1500m endurance by focusing on sprints.
  19. To be fair, it's not like this event has much of a history
  20. Carlijn Schoutens is an Olympic medalist?! Huh. You learn something every day I guess.
  21. Apparently both Norwegians being outside of the top-8 at the European championships today might grant the USA a 3rd spot (due to Norway having their own strict criteria) and so might save Jackson...
  22. While the other decision would have been rightfully criticized by others. There's really no good solution here, other than the situation of someone else giving up a spot (isn't Norway in trouble in this regard?).
  23. Zlatibor it is for our Totallympian (most likely at least), despite the team's coach trying everything to stop her from going there (because they know that her competing there will make it incredibly hard for the coach's favourite). Snow has been falling quite strongly the past few days and organizers are very confident about the races. And to give a bit of a sense of the atmosphere and professionalism in this so-called 'team': one of the athletes is sick, but trying to take care by staying away from said athlete, wearing a face mask and so on is only ridiculed and laughed at. Thank the lord they'll fuck off to Zakopane tomorrow, and hopefully from then on things will start falling the fair way.
  24. Dukurs won it by 0,01 second ahead of a German. Hehe.
  25. What's up with the stream for the women's 2nd heat not being available?
