  1. We're not surprised, but it's always going to be a matter of 'shit, not athlete X', 'ah crap, not him/her!'
  2. That was a rather unimpressive performance by the Dutch team. Sure, the score warms them up nicely, but that was really 5% thanks to them and 95% thanks to Zambia just being....well, not really good

  4. Lol, European Handball Federation fined the Norwegian women for not wearing revealing bikini bottoms during the bronze medal game at the European championships, but opting to go for less revealing shorts. https://www.eurohandball.com/en/news/en/disciplinary-commission-imposes-a-fine-for-improper-clothing/ I wonder how many teams/athletes have been fined before for not showing enough instead of showing too much? Norwegian federation rightfully said they are completely behind the team and will pay the whole fine without any issue.
  5. Jamaica clearly does not go with the Chinese and Vietnamese 'They have to be tall' rule by choosing the Pocket Rocket
  6. This would be so awesome. The more people outside of mountainbiking and/or Sweden can hear about her, the better. True inspiration.
  7. It's odd that adding a second clock is a matter of not more than 20 seconds if you know where to click, but this second clock only shows up when clicking the time (so opening the 'calendar view') or hovering your cursor above the time, while actually having both show in the taskbar (like you said) is such a hassle I'm thinking about buying a 3 euro clock somewhere to put on my desk in Japanese time, that might be easier
  8. Sherida Spitse, the player with the most appearances in history for the Dutch team (188), will miss the Olympics due to a knee injury she suffered in training yesterday. Joëlle Smits will replace her.
  9. I barely slept on Saturday night so did need a normal one last night, but today it'll start Going to sleep at 21:00, waking up at 05:00 Tomorrow going to at sleep 20:00, waking up at 04:00 on Wednesday Wednesday going to at sleep 19:00, waking up at 03:00 on Thursday Thursday going to at sleep 18:00, waking up at 02:00 on Friday Friday going to sleep at 17:00, waking up at whenever the first event starts on Saturday minus 20 minutes for breakfast And then there we are, Japanese-time rhythm
  10. That'll work, thanks Just raises the question of...why?! I mean, why not simply call the stream "Gymnastics - Men - Qualifying day 1" so you can simply open the whole daily schedule and Ctrl + F to whichever stream you want? Saves tons of time and clicking. Oh well, I guess streaming services like these aren't built to be logical
  11. That is road cycling, however Still sad. Martinez is much more of an attractive rider than Uran, plus doesn't have a history of...you know, selling the freaking gold medal on the finish line
  12. Oh crap, now I'm afraid to open it Never a fan of things like this coming with a major new look so shortly before something big, so you only have a very short time to get used to things So far it seems to look mostly the same though, with only a little difference in the top bar which now takes some extra space, God knows why. The streams are still listed in an annoyingly sport-less way, or at least many of them. Names like "Team - Mixed | Round of 16" and "Qualifying - Men | Day 1", come on Other than that, things didn't seem to change much. Still a daily chronological schedule with the same look, still a menu with all sports where you can select one sport. I only hope they changed the way they placed the streams in the sport-specific pages, they used to always have them chronologically, awesome, but then changed it to some sort of grouping in a non-chronological order.
  13. Dutch pole vaulter Rutger Koppelaar has announced he's out due to a positive COVID test. https://www.instagram.com/p/CRgbjQljTbb/
  14. For the moment. However, in X years from now, nobody will be like "That dude won Olympic gold...oh yeah, but it was because these and these others weren't there."
  15. A rolling start? Too bad, I kinda like Wilson, but yeah this is not remotely realistic at all
  16. You're Slovak and it's not winter, so not ice hockey time
  17. Interesting, since he calls nearly every crowd 'the greatest crowd in the world' when he wins Part of his default PR talk, of course.
  18. It's not so much that he didn't drive well, it's that everything fell in his favour and yet he is acting as if it is his greatest win ever. He has plenty of wins in which he was actually clearly a level above the field, yesterday that was not at all the case. He beat someone he had to quite literally get out of the way, someone who let him go by, someone who had a semi-crippled Ferrari and the other potential threats after his fairly easy penalty had bad pitstops and started from the back Which is all not his fault or anything, but it might warrant a bit of a more humble reaction instead of presenting himself as the grand maestro of the race and going full-attack on Verstappen even when the stewards have clearly put the blame entirely on Hamilton. He is a very good driver, he doesn't need these things.
