2. No more COVID-related withdrawals for athletes who even aren't actually sick.

Gold medals (or medals) for athletes who have a good story behind them: veterans who always missed out on the gold (or a medal), athletes who nobody expected to win, athletes who went through hard personal times (think Jenny Rissveds, who, as she said, 'Three years ago did not even want to be alive anymore', but managed to recover in an impressive fashion), and so on. Sideris Tasiadis, whose girlfriend died the year before Rio, is another example of that.
