  1. Belgium getting a 10th place after Langer's unfortunate situation is by far the performance of the day Fantastic shooting as well, using only two extra rounds. The closest team in terms of shooting is Poland, which used more than double: five spare rounds. Truly great job, and in the end the fall cost them maybe two and maximum three positions. Cloetens and Lie saved the day! You know, if they don't get DQ'ed for the safety issue.
  2. Pellegrino on fire. Golberg not at all.
  3. Krüger might still be a small danger for Klaebo. Probably not, but Klaebo definitely can't hold too much back.
  4. Yeah, Swedish media quoted a team manager as saying she was awake and talking with medics, and drinking blueberry soup to recover Insane how deep she must have gone. Success or not, that alone deserves major respect.
  5. No Karlsson at the podium ceremony.
  6. Anna Dyvik and Moa Ilar chasing away the way too curious camera from Karlsson, very well done by them, protecting their teammate! 7-8 minutes later and Karlsson is still being tended to by a big group of people.
  7. Karlsson has really discovered some new limits and gone way beyond it today, damn. Starting to look a little worrying there.
  8. Seeing all these athletes drop down at the finish utterly and completely exhausted to the very core of their soul....what a sport
  9. First World Cup victory ever for a French woman, of course it is ultimate climber Claudel
  10. Yeah, Karlsson is really showing that this is her first time, she went for a lot of chocolate very early on
  11. Niskanen with an attack of Weng's 2nd place. And Claudel on the way to history!
  12. Eva Urevc still within the top-15 on Alpe Cermis of all places, incredibly remarkable transformation this season, wow.
  13. Karlsson really, really underestimated the monster that is Alpe Cermis. About to totally blow up.
  14. Watching this endless suffering is so good every year
  15. Been in Adelboden ten years or so ago for the giant slalom and slalom and yes, the atmosphere is like nothing else. Absolutely fantastic, and everyone gets cheered on hard by the fans
  16. Meanwhile the women's ski jumping part was cancelled, but strangely enough, not a single word about...well, what now? Usually the PCR would simply replace the ski jumping competition round, but for whatever reason there is no mention of that. Edit: right, PCR can apparently not be used for mass starts, according to the rules. Weird.
  17. They learned from Gerard van Velde (Kok's coach), who used to simply do a full lap super slow to recover after a false start He was visibly laughing, together with Leerdam's coach (who used to be his coach as well), when they were doing the same
  18. Incredible 5k by Eitrem, throwing in three 28's like old-school Sven Kramer Definitely going to be one of my highlights of the winter season. Young athlete, incredible race at a major championship in front of a full home crowd. Fantastic.
  19. Looks like Selina Gasparin is not entirely done yet, easily winning today's Alpencup sprint in Lenzerheide https://winter.racetime.pro/en/biathlon/international/2022-2023/event/400/results/competition/919/course/7447
  20. That is so much too much work for breakfast. Between the moment I get up to pick my breakfast and I start eating, I think there is roughly one minute, one and a half on a slow day, and it really shouldn't be any longer
  21. No, but of course it would be rather inappropriate to have the Russian flag swinging around left and right at this very moment Personally I'm not against Russian athletes competing under a neutral flag or something like that, but definitely not under their flag right now.
  22. No CNN alert has scared me so far, there isn't going to be some massive boycot or something Best case scenario: every single country competes in Paris in 2024 and this whole current mess is behind us. Unlikely, thanks to Russia obviously. Worst case scenario: Russia, Belarus (because banned) and maybe Ukraine (because other priorities) aren't competing, but the rest will.
  23. The women's season is being quite fun so far and the Tour de Ski no less so After Tiril and Lotta Udnes Weng both getting their first ever World Cup victory, today Katharina Hennig sprinted to her very first won in impressive fashion That was a fun race and especially a fun last kilometer, impressive work by Niskanen as well all throughout the second half of the race.
