  1. Hello again
  2. Luckily in the interviews they are all still focussed on Japan and definitely not celebrating like "we are going to Rio" yet
  3. What a wonderful match
  4. I thought "Hmm maybe he is exaggerating, let me check"...this is the 5th consecutive year Weird indeed. I'm too sleepy for it, but in a magical world where the draw is indeed completely fair, how big would the chance (in %) be of this happening 5 consecutive times?
  5. Eberhard shoots clean for the first time since a little over 5 years Awesome to see him do that and finally win a big race!
  6. If he indeed tested positive at the OQT and FIVB lets Russia still go to Rio, we know the deal. The rules stated pretty clear that 2 positive tests for a team = DSQ. The impact the player had only matters when it's about one positive test, not when it's about multiple. He played, so he was part of the team, even if it was for only 5 seconds. (I think someone posted these rules somewhere up in this thread)
  7. Oops I put the first few names in the list but after some minutes I lost interest for today so I'll continue another day
  8. How about Cuban taekwondo athlete Robelis Despaigne? Bronze in 2012, but apparently wasn't good enough to participate at this years qualifiers...or was he injured/retired?
  9. Yeah I hated that Büchler had that fantastic jump apparently right before I woke up And I completely agree about your first sentence. Sometimes in the background during some track event you normally already hear the audience cheer for a great jump, so when you see the jump you basically already know the result. This way was very good and they could maybe even have made the program a little bigger (like including a long jump final or something, there's plenty of time).
  10. Interesting (well not so much for the Netherlands and France, but for me to make a possible bet on Japan )
  11. I was surprised Lavillenie actually tried 6,17m the full three times Unfortuntely I didn't really see an interesting competition. The apparently interesting part of the women's competition happened pretty much during the time in which I had fallen asleep and after I woke up there was only Suhr vs Morris left and the last jumps of Stefanidi and Büchler, which weren't really exciting And the men's competition...good to see at least a 6+, but the way Lavillenie dominated made it kinda boring in my opinion. I would have liked to see him pass the world record
  12. What do you mean, depleted? They are missing their top players or they are simply not good?
  13. Luiten started with +5 yesterday, had an amazing round today with 7 birdies and no bogeys in the first 14 holes to bring him well inside the cut....only to finish the round with bogey, bogey, bogey and 1 stroke out of the cut
  14. Really cool to see FIS let him use BIB 500 And they even gave him a tiny little BIB 500 for his daughter
  15. At least nobody here is really worried about it. France are favorites against us, but we shouldn't have a problem with the other 2 nations and so still qualify anyway
  16. Oh that's absolutely wonderful "This is...hardly a spectactors sport. Only race officials are allowed on the course"
  17. And indeed it is
  18. You can still use it by using [ spoiler] to begin and [/ spoiler] to close the spoiler (without the spaces), but it's weird that the button is gone.
  19. Those Brazilian clothes could have been more.....Brazilian if you ask me.
  20. And if he isn't gonna be fit, I suppose it would be Van Gelder, or does the athlete have to have competed in the test event?
  21. Results of the men's individual at the Open European Junior Championships today: http://biathlon.com.ua/results.php?lang=eng&id=2300 Pay attention to the last place finisher, Kyriakos Kiouras of Greece. He literally missed every single of his 20 shots and finished 38 minutes behind the winner
  22. Well to be fair, jumping 1.95 and 1.99 when you're only barely 18 is seriously impressive.
  23. I honestly have no idea how they're all standing, I just know their goal is to qualify the team and of course Zonderland's goal is to win gold Infostrada are just looking at last year's World Champs I suppose and falling off the bar won't help in getting a medal.. And when talking about him being fit, I mean for the test event, because apparently he is still struggling with injuries and by now it's only a month before the event..
  24. It's an American site...they also always think Galen Rupp will win most races and Jenny Simpson is the clear favorite in every 1500m she runs
