  1. Don't get me wrong, I wish I could enjoy it as much as they and you do
  2. I just love that turn where they've got the little drop and then *woosh* to the left (the one you always see from behind)
  3. A dressage hype train feels a little like Dutch trains when winter weather slightly starts: not really moving
  4. Who knows, maybe there was behind the scenes stuff going on that we don't know about but made her want to get away, no idea. And yeah, she could be the best of all Germans, so I don't think her move to the Czechs was very much based on not being able to make the German team (for example in the previous two teams she was quite clearly the third German behind Hermann and Lölling, Griebel only got a chance when Fernstädt didn't start and then was not very impressive). Now I'm curious about something which I can't really find much about: Fernstädt was born in CZE, but when did she/her family go to Germany, any idea?
  5. Not nearly as hard to believe as Kaisa having not a single Olympic medal
  6. Dual citizenship or not, competing for your birth country is not strange by any stretch She definitely has the talent to make the German team though, I don't see Griebel being consistently better..
  7. I was not a fan of the Thai weightlifters (they were just as easy to trust as those Azeri's or Kazakh's....meaning impossible to trust), just of the cool dude (somewhere in his 50's I think?) with his flag hats and drums and everything bringing joy to all major competitions
  8. RIP Thai weightlifting fan
  9. We really should have that as sort of a rule, so one can safely post in a certain thread without fear of being spoilered for other events (like you said, at least those from the same day or maybe late the previous night).
  10. No interview with Kuzmina, "because she has lost her voice"
  11. And I thought in the biathlon thread I'd be safe from Universiade and alpine skiing World Cup spoilers
  12. Sari Maeda with the result of a lifetime. 26th is her best so far at the highest level.
  13. Surprise Herrmann
  14. 2+1 for Jill, who seems to be on her way to beat two women.
  15. Well otherwise Öberg would have stolen it
  16. I am aware But, you know, as long as she's not at the shooting range yet it's still possible to not miss one there
  17. Herrmann is game.
  18. Let's go Jill
  19. And there was Talihärm's shooting
  20. Well now I'm happy eurosport is showing MotoGP and snooker here
  21. Cool! Stuff like weird wind is a chance for Jill Since she's coming from the low-mid regions of the IBU Cup, any athlete she keeps behind her today is a victory
  22. Not even live on Eurosport here Luckily there's German TV with Kati Wilhelm analyzing things, but still.
  23. Actually giving a point for the fastest lap would be a nice throwback to the very first years of Formula 1 People are always saying how things 'were better earlier', well, there you go. Back to an old rule.
