Exactly for this. You are not allowed to move the gate with your arm, you can with paddle, with your boat, with your head, with your nose ...etc.. etc.. etc... but the only thing you can not is hold it and move it with your hand

https://www.rtve.es/play/deportes/ (it's free, but a spanish vpn is required...picture quality is not the best, ARD and ZDF streams are definitely on another level)
they also have a nice app for connected devices (android TV, too)
paid official stream on watch hockey is also available, of course

Definiere "Verdient gehabt".

It's the first time in 12 years that German women managed to qualify for EuroBasket. While it's nice to see progress, a qualification for the OQT would be a HUGE upset. Moreover, our best player, WNBA star Satou Sabally, already said she'll be off for the EuroBasket in order to focus on WBNA season. So, thanks for your believe in the German team, but honestly a qualification for OQT is unlikely (not to be speak about actual qualification for Olympics). ;-)

So much looking forward to race!!!
And... It seems like finding someone to prepare my skis won't be a problem as this time FIS will provide a "neutral support" for small teams with specialized staff preparing our skis 😱😍 *(just heard it from Jaque)
Vamos!!! 🚀🚀

You can't separate politics and sport at the time of such a major military conflict. If you think that this is comparable to the Korean War or the Vietnam War, or any other war since WW2 you are fooling yourself. It's the largest attempted landgrab in Europe since Hitler was defeated, the historical significance of such an event is massive and can't be brushed aside as just yet another war. Making a "safe space" out of the Olympics would be foolish.
And yes, every Russian athlete, every Russian citizen is culpable. I say this as a Hungarian who knows that the fact that I am living in Hungary supports Orbán's system, regardless of how much I hate him. Russia is exactly like Hungary, just on steroids. They are all guilty, just like I will be guilty of being part of Orbán's regime if he does something truly awful, no matter how many times I vote against him. Putin isn't doing this alone. If Russia is like Hungary, the country is rotten to its core. People need to take responsibility for the actions of their nation if they live there and they are part of its society. Putin would have never started this war if the Russian society wouldn't accept such an action.

That might be true to some degree.. but the difference to all wars somewhere in the world in recent history is that one land is stealing territory from another here.

This is absolutely the right path to ruin and spoil the Paris Olympics in advance. The Games will be overshadowed by discussions over Russia because there is definitely a probability that Ukraine will boycott the Games. And if they do, there will be definitely pro/con-discussions about further boycotts. I am desperately destroyed over how IOC and some NOCs can be so stupid to take this risk. Actually, the French Govt. should be interested in clarifying this issue as soon as possible, i.e. before world's mass media start to notice this.

Like, just to have a discussion about this topic is complete absurdity and waste of time. Olympics are not for terrorists. Period.

Seriously, did you expect any other reaction? Talking about any possibility to have RUS athletes at the 2024 Olympics NOW is so out of place. The IOC has to end this discussion or the Olympics will be overshadowed by it.

Sigh, "politics and sport shouldn't mix" always sounds great in a speech because everyone knows it's a total bullshit.
If politics played no part, then we would not have nations funding sports programs. Heck, then all athletes would have competed under .
Russians love to use it in their propaganda speech even though they mix sport and politics more than anyone else. But it still sounds great. Can't resist

Yes, and that's it. So, don't try to justify this decision by mentioning that India is trying to help avoiding a global war. A neutral reaction right now only shows India defends its own interests and is not worried about Ukraine or peace at all.

I do wonder how much is true about the Russian losses mentioned by Ukraine. Usually both sides in something like this exaggerate the losses of the other...it's possible, but if true, it's an incredible military disaster by the Russians...which would be cool, but still hard to imagine.

I am not hopeful for such a "happy" ending. They have proven time and time again they have no shame and will stop at nothing. Even though the Russian name has been denied in the title of the teams at the Olympics, they must be proud because everybody knows the athletes represent Russia and they even still have the nerve to keep sending possible dopers to the Olympics. It pains me to say that even after all these events, they will still be allowed to compete, I'm sure.

Hey! Thanks for asking 😊 I am doing well, recovering a little day by day.
Arm, ribs, abdomen, shoulder and lungs still hurt but much less nowadays (painkillers are making their miracle everyday)
My foot is the main thing for now, but the doctor said we will have to be patient with it, which means it will take time to recover. Not much about the broken bones, but the wounds (it still looks like a zombie foot 😬😅). But it will get better I need to keep it high as much as possible during the day and do not put any pressure on it. So, wheelchair it recovers.
For sure, no trainings for me in a soon future. First goal is to get on my feet again.
Watching the Olympics was painful in some moments (including today) but mostly I enjoyed seeing some friends doing well.
I enjoy this reply to thank everyone who sent their good wishes since the accident happened. I wasn't able to reply at the moment, but I read everything and @heywoodu kept me updated too. Thank you so much for all kindness 💙💙💙 I am a totallyimpian not Olympian yet, but the word "yet" will drop off in 2026 😉 thank you all!

Absolutely! Moreover I am optimistic that the Paris Olympics will have a special and truly Olympic atmosphere (so will Cortina, too) and, honestly, this is all I am longing for after the last couple of OG. Also I hope that I will be finally able to witness one OG live in the stadium

LowerSaxony got a reaction from Ted in Winter Olympic Games Milano-Cortina 2026 Sports Programme
In January, the first World championships for Women's Doubles were held. 14 sleds from 9 countries entered. You can absolutely argue that it's too soon for being an Olympic discipline as there are still huge differences between the best and the middle class doubles. However, with 4 years in before the Olympic debut, Women's doubles would not be the discipline with the shortest time span between first World Championships and Olympic debut - thinking of Monobob or 4x400 Mixed Relay in Athletics.
However, I'm pretty sure that both Women's doubles and Nordic combined (Women's singles and Mixed relay) will be added. Hope they get rid of the Luge Team Relay, never liked it (won't happen, I know).

That much is true. But what killed it for me (well not really, when sport is on; it's on regardless of anything else), is that it comes right after the no-spectators Tokyo 2020 and Pyeongchang 2018 which allready lacked any 'real' winter olympics atmosphere. And, we could also think back to Rio which was not so great in that regard.
I think, we all need the 2024/2026 Games to come out with a bang, to relive this inner olympic flame.
