-  had lost in the semifinal only once, in 1998 to eventual cup winner France.
 
 so far have lost only one final, (obviously to the cup winner).

Anyone that can show one case of an equal incident in the modern era when it was not given a penalty?
I think a VAR suggesting a review for this would probably be never called for international duty again.

I found out during the semifinal that they were playing, and a couple of hours later it was already over. Such a low interest for a Davis Cup semifinal with Italy in it, when I remember a few years ago every tie was followed since days before by the media

I don't think they even needed the VAR since it was near the goal, and the goal line technology should cover that area.
