  1. the only event ever contested (at youth level only) that comes to my mind is the mixed gender/mixed weapons team event (basically, 1 representative for each weapon, M + F...the format is a relay like the current single weapon team events)... frankly, I hope ioc is not going to put this farce forward...FIE already dropped it after experimenting it in a couple of Cadet Worlds, so I don't think there's any request by them, but rather it's the ioc trying to cut the current team events in each weapon to replace them with this dumb event... personally, I'd rather live well without any single team event at the Olympics, but surely I don't want to see that sh*t anymore in my life...especially at the Olympics... p.s. Judo could also try to push for Kata events...I know IJF is working a lot to promote that discipline within their federations...
  2. to me it's not that tricky...actually, it's quite obvious... certified that we're only speaking of human beings, considering the fact that children of all kinds are born without knowing what's good and what's bad, what's right and what's wrong, it's clear that everything about human essence and behaviour goes down to the surrounding environment, to culture and education they're given... and races have nothing to do with that... by the way, that's my chart... Your Political Compass Economic Left/Right: -4.0 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -0.31 to be honest, I thought I was more on the right side...and especially a lot more on the authoritarian half of the scale...but it looks that I was wrong (according to these questions and aswers, of course)... p.s. but actually I also feel I'm a lot more complicated than what the chart shows in its extreme synthesis...
  3. former autosport driver and multiple paralympic champion Alex Zanardi earlier today suffered a terrible accident with his handbike (apparently, he crashed against a truck ) and now he's in grave life danger... right now he's having a very complicated neurological operation after suffering a hard head trauma... c'mon, man! if there's someone who can survive something like this, it's you!

  5. very entertaining start of the season in Japan... Hanshin Tigers @ Tokyo Giants, despite the lack of athmosphere because of the closed doors, was a very good and close match, as expected...I truly enjoyed it...
  6. 10. Reiwa Shinsengumi leader Taro Yamamoto to run for Tokyo governor Actor-turned-politician Taro Yamamoto, leader of the anti-establishment party Reiwa Shinsengumi, announced his candidacy Monday for the Tokyo gubernatorial election next month, in which incumbent Yuriko Koike is widely expected to be re-elected. Yamamoto, 45, pledged at a news conference to make the cancellation of the Tokyo Games his first order of business should he be elected governor in the July 5 poll. He also promised to provide all residents of the capital a relief handout of ¥100,000 ($934) each in response to the coronavirus pandemic. But with the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan, the Japanese Communist Party and the Social Democratic Party already set to back rival Kenji Utsunomiya, 73, former head of the Japan Federation of Bar Associations, Yamamoto’s entrance into the race will likely result in votes being split between the major opposition parties. Yamamoto had said during a radio program Saturday that the chances of him running in the election, for which campaigning will begin Thursday, was “50-50.” God, keep us safe and keep this idiot well far away from the role he's seeking...
  11. absolutely, not... fencing activity has been stopped and at least until next Autumn there's no chance any tournament is going to be held in any part of the world... for instance, the Italian National team has just begun their training after a 3-month stop due to the covid-19... it's impossible that they (and with them, all the other powerhouses) are going to be ready in a short while...
  12. earlier this afternoon...Golf, Charles Schwab Challenge tournament (4th and final round) from yesterday... later tonight, Soccer, Spanish La Liga (Real Betis vs Granada)...
  13. disastrous and very, very sad news... 16 year-young French climber Luce Douady died earlier today while training on an unexplored sector on a cliff near Grenoble... https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-53054385 R.I.P.
  14. got it done earlier today...really heartbreaking finish...
  15. no, unfortunately I was a bit tired at the end of the day and so I went to sleep quite early... but there's a good chance I watch the replay of the 4th round from yesterday later today, since it's Monday...and there's no live Korean baseball on Mondays...
  16. Rugby World Cup star Kenki Fukuoka gives up on bid to make Olympic sevens team Rugby World Cup star Kenki Fukuoka will give priority to pursuing a medical career and abandon his bid to play sevens at the Tokyo Olympic Games next summer, a source said Saturday. The 27-year-old, who is studying to become a doctor, had planned to bid farewell competitive rugby after the Tokyo Olympics. But the one-year postponement of the games due to the coronavirus pandemic has reportedly made it too difficult to balance his studies with his rugby commitments. The Japan Rugby Football Union has confirmed Fukuoka's departure from the Olympic practice squad. The speedy winger emerged as one of the stars of last year's World Cup on home soil, scoring four tries and playing an instrumental role in Japan's historic run to the quarterfinals. He was named man of the match as the Brave Blossoms defeated Scotland 28-21 in their final pool match to ensure their first-ever berth in the knockout stage of the tournament. Fukuoka played sevens at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics, where Japan finished fourth.
  17. Korean KBO Baseball in the morning... a lot of Soccer (German Bundesliga and Spanish La Liga) in the afternoon... right now...Rugby, New Zealand's Super-Rugby Aotearoa (Blues vs Hurricanes)...in a packed Eden Park... later tonight...most likely, some more Spanish Soccer (but Golf is also an option)...
  18. that last sentence is quite scary...and most likely it means only one thing...
  19. nice one, too... but my favourite of them all is still... Sylvester!!! and no.2 is definitely... Jeeg!!!
  20. thank you for posting this masterpiece! If it was up to me, I'd give you 1000 "+" only for this!
  21. so, all of the unsold salmon in your Country will now get to Italy... and considering that I'm an avid salmon eater, this time I just can't save my ass...I'm gonna get infected!
  22. well, maybe they're targeting the wrong audience... here in Italy Darts surprisingly have very good tv ratings (and they're only on 2nd tier paid services, like dazn or eurosport, nothing on free tv), especially among the youngsters (and that's also quite unexpected)... maybe it's worth an attempt to try and develop this activity (I refuse to call it a sport...and I'm not a fan of Darts at all, tbh) around the Mediterranean Sea...
  23. earlier this morning/afternoon...Korean KBO Baseball (KIA Tigers @ SK Wyverns) right now...Czech Baseball, Arrows Ostrava @ Tempo Prague in about 20 mins...Soccer, Italian Cup, semifinal (2nd Leg), FC Juventus vs AC Milan
  24. now it works for me, too...but only if I go on Youtube and search for the event...the direct link posted by our friend doesn't work...
