  1. I see you are not very familiar with American politics and how they work, otherwise you would know why a non-consecutive second term is much more historic, than a regular incumbent being reelected.
  2. Maybe, just maybe next time Democrats can campaign differently than "Women should vote for women, what kind of women don't support other women, if you don't vote for a black woman you are .... etc. "
  3. This is going to be a blockbuster win for Trump. He could potentially win all battlegrounds and made significant gains in serious blue states like Virginia, New Jersey, Illinois, Connecticut etc. States, with the exception of Virginia, where he virtually didn't run a campaign at all. Who knew 10 years ago, that Trump of all people will become one of the strongest political figures in American history. Only the second President to be re-elected in non-consecutive terms. And this after the unprecedented rhetoric and events around his persona.
  4. Entering the middle? It doesn't feel like Winter sport season until the second week of November for me The middle of the season comes around Wengen and Kitzbuhel.
  5. Very weird not to have the tournament on a weekend. Can't remember a recent event, that started Monday to Thursday, instead of Thursday - Sunday.
  6. Pecco just can't make a significant improvement to go ahead of Martin in the GC. He is always 7-12-20 points and there aren't many races left.
  7. Everyone is always excited for the contests..... until they start.
  8. Finally managed to vote As usual i was rearranging some places until the end
  9. I expected Vonn to return in a speed event, but guess she wants to test herself first on a slower GS. Though at 40 i think she won't be doing many GSs and concentrate on the DH & SG. And hopefully she does that, because a full World Cup season should be out of her aim. As for Hirscher, he must really be scared of Odermatt breaking his records
  10. After the return of Marcel Hirscher, now there are rumors that one Lindsey Vonn is thinking of coming out of retirement.
  11. Looks like everyone has been busy with something. I think it will be best to extend the contest by 1 week, so everyone has time to vote.
  12. Voting ends on Friday right? Because on page 1 it says the 17th which is Thursday
  13. Yeah, most likely her mother is an obsessive money hungry monster, especially when you see her parading like a "manager" to a 16 year old.. I'm sure very few are faulting Elvira in this situation.
  14. There is a saying to never trust a Russian in gymnastics. Well, ex-Russian turned Bulgarian Elvira Krasnobaeva is transferring now to Armenia. The "official" reason is for personal, family matters, but in reality it's most likely because she wasn't selected for Paris, which angered her parents. Even though she is only 16, had her breakthrough just this year and started making mistakes, when they amped up the difficulty. Our Federation's President Iliana Raeva said today, that she received calls also from France and Azerbaijan about Elvira's mother basically auctioning her. Raeva mentioned, that Krasnobaeva was going to be a vocal point in the next Olympic cycle, but now she can hit the road and missed her chance to ever compete for Bulgaria, even if she wanted to in the future. We are also going to make a new Group from next season. After the disappointment in Paris, 4 out of the 5 girls announced their retirement.
  15. USA doesn't need to snatch weightlifting golds, they will get 60+ from the other sports.
  16. After 3 months UEFA have finally acknowledged, that there was a huge mistake in the Germany - Spain match and the Cucurella handball should have been a penalty Well la di da, that was evident for everyone and their blind dog, except for one fraud named Anthony Taylor and his helpers. Give that man more awards.
  17. As long as they are evenly spread out during the day and we don't get many events at the same time, i'm ok with whenever they schedule stuff. Though i would have presumed biathlon would be in a more late afternoon spot, 6 pm-ish, with alpine skiing and cross-country being in the morning / early afternoon spots. Antholz has lights right? , though now that i think of it, the World Cup is always during the day there.
  18. BULGARIA SEVI - On My Own I was debating whether to go again with a more ethnic song, but ultimately decided to choose a more understandable one this time (and with replayability ) SEVI was founded in 2010 by Svetlana Bliznakova (vocalist and songwriter) and Rali Velinov (bassist and songwriter). Their name translated from Latvian means "Be Yourself" and many of the bands lyrics are for being confident and true to yourself. Sadly they aren't that well known in Bulgaria, but rather outside of our country. They have opened concerts for Europe, Nightwish and Disturbed. But in the last month or so, they started getting a bigger notoriety here after the news of them being shortlisted for a potential Grammy nomination next year (with a different song of course). So decided to introduce them to a few people more Song lyrics:
  19. Bologna's debut in the CL starts with a saved penalty from Skorupski I'd wish they have more Italians playing, but that's the nature in all of Europe sadly.
  20. Nice DIA is amazing indeed. I was actually thinking about choosing another song from her.
  21. I haven't seen any major bad decisions from Eliasch or Lappartient, when it comes to FIS or UCI, so would actually be OK, if they got the win. Though that seems very unlikely currently. Coe and Watanabe will be by far the worst choices. Coventry would be a better choice, but i'm not that confident in her to not go off the rails. Samaranch Jr and Al Hussein are a mystery to me, so not sure what to expect.
  22. I have finally chosen a song and will post it either tonight, or tomorrow, depending when i have time
  23. Is anyone else tired of the constant bitching and moaning from players about the "tough calendar", especially from the lordy English league + Real Madrid. How about earning some of those hugely overpriced salaries you get. How about getting rid of the useless League Cup, that still for some reason exist on the British isles. How about reducing the leagues to 34 matches. There shouldn't be a top European league with more than 18 teams. I prefer having the ECC in their newer format and a Club World Cup every 4 years (for which not every team is even qualifying), than additional 4 league games, that bring nothing new (plus additional playoffs somewhere). Domestic leagues should start in September and end early May, to fit a longer break, if the players health is concerned.
