  1. Elections for Parliament today here. With the pandemic and restrictions, it is expected a lesser turn-out, around 40-45%. That would be a million less votes than in 2017. Because of that, it is also expected that a larger number of parties will pass the threshold - 6-7, even 8 parties, if it gets weirder New this time, is that there is a machine voting, along with the paper one. So far, the politicians and famous faces they show on TV say that they have voted with paper, because the don't trust the machines and the software installed. As for the ordinary people, it's more 50-50 from what i've heard and people are using machines more for curiosity and fun.
  2. Yes they can, if they lift enough for a medal. They divide them for logistic reasons. Having one competition with 20+ lifters at once is going to be a drag. It's much more easy to separate them in two groups of 10, by strength and not have some athletes wait for an hour+ before they make their attempts. Plus you have a confined backstage warm-up area for the lifters during the competition and it's more organizable to have 10 sections, instead of 20. And also of course for TV time. With only 10 lifters in a group it goes for 1.5 - 2 hours at best with the medal ceremony, which is ideal for the TVs. They don't want to show the weak athletes and waste time, they need only the best, so it's a fast, entertaining competition.
  3. At this point i'm certain that Valverde has the fountain of youth in his backyard
  4. Clean & Jerk results: Gold - Ivana Petrova - 85 kg Silver - Cosmina Pana - 84 kg Bronze - Melisa Gunes - 83 kg Overall Medals in Women's 45 kg: Gold - Nadezhda Nguen - 155 kg Silver - Ivana Petrova - 152 kg Bronze - Melisa Gunes - 151 kg
  5. I couldn't find a site with the live scores... But from the live stream i'm watching: Snatch: Gold - Nadezhda Nguen - 72 kg Silver - Melisa Gunes - 68 kg Bronze - Anhelina Lomachynska - 67 kg
  6. The main camera could be a bit closer to the lift, but beside that a good start to the Champs.
  7. France is doubling down on postponing/cancelling events. Amongst them Paris-Roubaix is postponed to October and the Moto 24 hours of Le Mans is also off the table. They are going to find a place for it later in the year.
  8. No surprises that the whole forum are having their annual leaves during the OG Thankfully, i have the luxury of waiting for now and submitting my leave much closer to the Games in case they do some shenanigans.
  9. Champs start tomorrow. Good luck to the BG athletes and one special favourite of mine from the neighbors up north. https://www.instagram.com/tomaloredanaelena/

  11. Wow Sakkari, what a brilliant performance
  12. Haven't seen so many big blow-out games in a long, long time. And it's not in one place, it's in Europe, Asia, CONCACAF. Reminds me of the times Australia was still in the Oceania qualifications and were regularly beating the islands 10-15-20:0
  13. Haven't forgotten, just being precise with my rankings.
  14. Being in the same dresses (coloured) must have been very awkward
  15. This must be the biggest team we have sent in over a decade
  16. 20 minutes passed and we are still not losing
  17. If Miller wants to be a contender he needs to change his strategy or tactics. He is always super fast at the starts of every race and by 6-7 laps to go, he is pushed the bike too much and gets passed with ease, if he manages to finish at all..
  18. He made a great second half of the race, but going wide on the final turn cost him the podium, just eaten on the straight..
  19. Has Vinales found his confidence again Bastianini climbing up, best rookie so far!
  20. The Yamahas finding the rhythm now, they will be on the back of Zarco and Pecco any minute now.
  21. The Ducatis with a rocket start passing everyone before turn 1
  22. Time for the real Motorsport Main Event of the weekend
  23. Have RTL dropped F1, as i was switching channels and it wasn't on? Oh man, what a downfall for this pathetic championship.
  24. Gent-Wevelgem with its tight, gravel roads
  25. All of our experts have been saying how stupid the scoring system has been been in the Groups. On friday our girls got a record breaking for the sport score of 44.150 on the 5 balls composition. And they were saying that things can go even higher, because there are loopholes in the system. It would be possible when Russia takes notes on what we did, that things can go up to 50 points eventually.
