  1. I am still with Winter Champs, so will start to listen next week.
  2. In the end, as expected, aside from Sweden falling a bit more behind. Nice run from our team, this is what we have without Lampič, Višnar and Fabjan.
  3. Next up Women Relay. Germany and USA could threaten Scandinavians, after quite good performances Italy could be a surprise. Slovenia will compete for the first time in this order. (Eva Urevc, Anita Klemenčič, Anja Mandeljc, Neža Žerjav) We should cope with Latvia and Kazakhstan, maybe even Czechs. Top 8 would be a dream, top 10 has to be main goal. Our girls were 9th in 2019, with 17 teams. Best result came in 2011, when they finished 7th. 13 teams on start is the smallest number since 2003 (12 teams).
  4. So, Peter Prevc is in good health after nasty fall, but probably his Worlds has gone, really sad. Today Qualification on Large Hill with Domen Prevc, Jelar, Zajc and Lanišek.
  5. Yes, another dissapointment, Klinec and Križnar could end up mich higher with better first jump, Vtič as expected. Nika Prevc jumped very bad both days, so she was not last because of brother's fall.
  6. Ok, this is a bit surprising, so sprint is coming in final lap. Meanwhile, our guys can not follow even Ukraine.
  7. So, no surprise on top. Meanwhile, Miha Šimenc surprised with 38th place, which is best ever Slovenian result in an interval start race.
  8. So, today another big day, Nika Križnar and Ema Klinec in fight for a medal, Nika Prevc and Maja Vtič will be probably be satisfied with final or maybe top 20. Today also took place first Official Training for Men. Peter Prevc fell badly in second jump. Meanwhile all others are jumping extremely well, so another hard job for our coach, who has to select four jumpers for tomorrows qualification.
  9. No high expectations today. Šimenc and Vili Črv are more like sprinters, possibly Miha Ličef could end up best as in Skiathlon, Jošt Mulej will compete first time. 50th place from Robert Kerštajn in 1995 is still best 10 / 15 km interval race result, so this should be main goal for our young squad. For the medals no secrets, heia Norge all the way.
  10. Nothing special, our commentators want to hype, how thrilling will be on ski course. Yeah right. Norway already got gold, only question is, who will get silver, Germany or Austria. As for our young team, 7th place was possible on ski jump, but jumps were shorter than in trial round. Even with 7th, USA and Italy, and possibly Czechs are too fast on course, so main goal remains complete ahead of Ukraine, and not getting lapped.
  11. Back to competitions. Sadly our young team was not capable of beating anybody in mixed team event. Today primary goal is certainly not being last and maybe not being lapped, we have very young guns, today Marjan Jelenko and Vid Vrhovnik are guests in our studio, with them 8th place would be possible, 8th is best place in history for our Team, if I recall, from 2011.
  12. As some of you already know, on Sunday I went to Planica. I am regular guest of Ski Flying for 25 years, so though I heard, how high they put prices and there is not a lot of home crowd, I decided to visit our treasure in heart of national park. Luckily I am quite frequent Totallympian, and with that I had an honour to meet in person our star, future Olympian. I know I have already thank you, but once more, @brunamoura, thanks for those five minutes of your time and of course, though I would come to see competitions anyway, thank you for tickets. Only thing I regret is we did not have time for a bit longer talk, because your story is fascinating, but did not wanna bother your pre race time. So, @heywoodu, take good care of her, when she comes back home, and when you are next time around (maybe both), do send me a PM, and maybe will grab a coffee.
  13. Believe it or not, this will be only third race (out of 14), with no medal for Norway (after ladies CC Sprint and Men's SJ Normal Hill).
  14. No Bruna for us, on Eurosport International they are still showing Ski Slopestyle from Bakuriani.
  15. Todays training result for ladies on Large Hill: Nika Križnar 131.5m (1.) / 134 m (1.) / DNS Ema Klinec 130 m (2.) / 130 m (4.) / DNS Nika Prevc 116 m (22.) / 124.5 m (14.) / 120 m (17.) Maja Vtič 118 m(21.) / 116.5 m (25.) / 117.5 m (23.) Katra Komar 120.5 m (25.) / 114 m (29.) / 119 m (20.) As expected, Komar will not attend todays qualification round, in which 50 athletes will compete for 40 places. (Around 105 m will be enough) Among others: Althaus did not jump Pinkelnig (13/2/3) Stroem (9/15/6) Loutit (3/11/4) Lundby (5/3/1) - second longest jump of the day 133.5 m Kramer (7/20/2) https://medias1.fis-ski.com/pdf/2023/JP/3034/2023JP3034RLT.pdf
  16. Thank you, it was cold and long wait, but at last it was worth it.
  17. She became famous, so glad I met her, though only for a couple of minutes. Today will be looking, how good Jaque and Bruna will run, but of course I wish this could also be a good day for our CC skiers. Eva Urevc is aiming for at least top 20, though I am hoping for even better, only Petra Majdič came in top 10 on an interval race (once she was 7th), so this would be huge, if Eva could bring us top 10 result. I am not sure how well prepared she is. Anja Mandeljc needs to attack top 30, if not better, for other two (Neža Žerjav and Anita Klemenčič) my expectations are not so high.
  18. And this is sad image from our stands, due to unbelievable expensive Worlds for our standards.
  19. It will be amazing, if they pull out one round.
  20. Welcome from Planica, we are cheering like hell, thank you @brunamoura for tickets, and well done for your and Jacque performance, you can be truly proud.
  21. Ok, let us look some numbers. - Women Team - Men Individual 947.1 Kreuzer 213.0 Pinkelnig 223.5 Hoerl 253.3 Kraft 257.3 926.2 Stroem 218.1 Bjoerseth 213.2 Forfang 244.3 Granerud 251.6 953.4 Freitag 217.0 Althaus 219.5 Geiger 257.7 Wellinger 259.2 930.0 Križnar 217.7 Klinec 208.7 Zajc 251.7 Lanišek 251.9 913.0 (if Ryoyu would get twice same) Maruyama 210.5 Yuki Ito 219.3 Nakamura 229.8 R. Kobayashi 126.7 (dsq R2) So, to sum up: 1. 2. +6.3 3. +23.4 4. +27.2 5. +40.4
  22. But still we had also finalists from Turkey, Finland, USA, almost even Estonia, Bulgaria, Romania, so not so bad.
  23. Ah, another day for our suffer. Will have to be better tomorrow, when I visit Planica. 😆
  24. Amazing quality in First Round, five teams only in 12.3 points, incredible fight.
  25. As usual in this hour, wind is too strong in Planica, so no Trial round for Ladies.
