    By knowing, having played against, or at least have met the majority of the competing players I hope I can be accurate in my prediction below: 1. Scotland 2. Sweden 3. Norway 4. Canada 5. USA 6. Switzerland 7. China 8. Czech Republic 9. Italy 10. Australia But it is difficult. Any of the top 4 could win and in a good week, all teams could end up in the playoffs.

    Swedish Team announced: Skottheim-Nilsson-Brorsson-Magnusson Kind of an olympic trial between Skottheim and Nilsson, and a trial for who will get to race the relay in olympics between Brorsson and Magnusson.

    Could be Magnusson instead of Brorsson too. She is already selected to Beijing but not Brorsson.

    Would think Persson, Brorsson, H Öberg, E Öberg in the olympic relay, even if I am not that comfortable with Brorsson in Standing.

    She should have the best chance in a sprint. She had 9/10 yesterday and even id the chance is very very small and the stability is not there, If she shoot clean she has a medal potential which I dont really think Magnusson and Persson has. However I wouldnt let her start in a relay or individual. And tbh the best swedes have not really been shooting very well this season either, just lucky they have improved Their ski speed.

    Calle Halfvarsson and Charlotte Kalla took the last swedish spots in the cross country team.

    Well done Neppy! And Anderssons 27th podium I think and only one of them was a win. I can btw understand why they made this a shorter tour this year, but with one less race, and shorter races, they can't give out up to 60 bonus seconds in the sprint if distance specialists should have any chance.

    Nepryevas lead (1:12) should be enough, especieally in this shape but she can not afford a climb like last year when she was 1:38 behind Andersson.

    For me, Brorsson should go before her but Skottheim had a podium last season but Did nothing this season and Nilsson has a 10th place and could medal If she shoot 0 which she Will probably not do but more likely than Skottheim in the shape of this season.

    Stina Nilsson, the reigning olympic XC sprint champion was today given the fifth womens spot. Brorsson will most likely get the last one but Skottheim still has a small chance.

    2nd place for Hagström who didnt make it to the Swedish olympic team. A bit of revenge for her!

    Not Nice but still Karlsson who was Ahead so this could have been judged as anything from 3 minute penalty to Ranked as last, to race incident and nothing

    World ranked no 1 for Women, Fleury of Canada was unbeaten in canadian olympic trials until the final and the extra end. Now they will miss the worlds as well, not even reaching the playoffs in the Manitoba provincials.

    New Swedish Team selection today: Women: Maja Dahlqvist, Moa Olsson, Emma Ribom Men: Marcus Grate, William Poromaa, Anton Persson, Leo Johansson Already selected: Women: Frida Karlsson, Jonna Sundling, Ebba Andersson Men: Oskar Svensson, Jens Burman Still a few spots left.

    Normally yes but I would guess both Swedens strongest chances are overall are the mens 5000 and 10000 speed skating (Van der Poel), just ahead of XC women sprint and team sprint

    I Believe in a record performance by Sweden. 1 gold and 2-3 medals in curling 2 golds in speed skating 2 gold in biathlon (6-7 medals) 3 golds in XC skiing and another 2 medals. 1 gold in ski cross 1-2 medal in ice hockey or other freestyle events or alpine.

    Zaisteva disqualified almost 8 years later and when the world cup rank 2013-14 is calculated again, Makarainen might lose her overall titel to Berger
