  1. There will be eight lanes according to this.
  2. Looks like Kosovo also got wild card for men's road race. This should mean that somebody declined a quota (presumably Sweden). Bolivia got the "scheduled" wild card. No word from UCI, of course. http://www.noc-kosovo.org/?page=1,8,276
  3. I think that's a mistake on wikipedia, as that weightlifter is listed as Greek on IWF rankings. I guess we'll just have to wait and see when IWF finally decides to publish something.
  4. I think all quotas have been confirmed with national federations (except maybe Russia) but they are too lazy or something to publish them for everybody. Anyway, using various sources we managed to find who got 6 out of 10 available wild cards. The last 4 probably went to countries like Equatorial Guinea, from where it is nearly impossible to find out any news.
  5. Pele isn't an Olympian though, so I doubt that. Platini on the other hand was an Olympian in 1976.
  6. Denmark Team Dressage Anders Dahl (Selten) Cathrine Dufour (Cassidy) Anna Kasprzak (Donnperignon) Agnete Kirk Thinggaard (Jojo)
  7. It's so awesome to see that doping thread is constantly "HOT!" 17 days before Olympics, oh well... I think 1980 and 1984 Olympics had better atmosphere than this.
  8. Wow, Mexico now has athletes in all individual sports if I'm not mistaken. That's impressive.
  9. Seems hypocritical indeed. Why even have qualification criterias if yuo are going to accept a wrestler who didn't score a single win in QT... But when I think about it, I think they accepted him because he lost to doped athlete.
  10. Luiza going to her 3rd Olympics at age 24. Brazil always have "kids" in dressage, Luiza is actually the oldest. Giovanna Pass is 18. No Rodigo Pessoa.
  11. You are too optimistic about golf. They will not go to Tokyo because of Godzilla, as mentioned.
  12. World Archery has confirmed all of the entries on their website.
  13. Jose-Filipe Lima will replace him.
  14. Latvia has also apparently received one of the stripped quotas, in men's C1 1000m.
  15. Their father and uncle also went together to the 1980 Olympics. Federico Roman (father) won individual gold there.
  16. Wow, they are allowed to make changes and thus kick out Lithuanian player less than 20 days before Rio?
  17. I'll go and agree with phelps' theory... That he was caught once again, but it will never become official to the rest of the World...
  18. Spain Team Dressage Claudio Castilla Ruiz (Alcaide) Beatriz Ferrer-Salat (Delgado) Severo Jurado (Lorenzo) Jose Daniel Martin Dockx (Grandioso) Eventing Albert Hermoso Farras (Hito) Jumping Eduardo Alvarez Aznar (Rokfeller de Pleville) Sergio Alvarez Moya (Carlo) Pilar Lucrecia Cordon (Gribouille du Lys) Manuel Fernandez Saro (U Watch)
  19. More about triplets.
  20. Sweden has chosen Anna Nilsson & Luron as their final team members for eventing.
  21. Both NZ Olympic committee and wrestling federation still didn't say anything about Craig Miller going to Rio. I very much doubt they accepted it.
  22. New Zealand has declined the quota of their 2nd woman. Philippines should get a quota now. http://www.olympic.org.nz/news/trio-of-new-zealand-golfers-confirmed-for-rio/
  23. Witte-Vrees deserve it more than Adelinde who is making her 19-year old horse to compete, even though he should be enjoying his retirement... At least Alice Naber-Lozeman made it.
  24. Germany Eventing Team Sandra Auffarth (Opgun Louvo) Michael Jung (Takinou) Ingrid Klimke (Hale Bob) Andreas Ostholt (So Is Et) Reserve: Julia Krajewski (Samourai du Thot)
