  3. Sara Benfares was on quite a cocktail https://sports.yahoo.com/german-runner-benfares-gets-five-131547183.html
  4. It doesn't clash with anything at trials and there's a small chance if breaststrokers fail to deliver at trials then Kaylee will be our best option for breaststroke in the medley relay so they might use Mollie for the backstroke leg. Something like O'Callaghan/McKeown/McKeon/Jack. She'd probably want to swim it anyway just to put down a tapered time in ideal conditions.

  6. She was all over the lane even hitting the lane rope. If she can tidy that up indoors at trials she's gong 57 something for sure. It was another great session but the men's 200 free was a bit of a fizzer.
  7. Mollie said she's not happy with the time At the end of the session Kai Taylor lead off a club relay with a 1:45.89 that was executed with a big negative split 53.36/52.53. Could mean he's cooking up something really impressive!
  8. Broke Steph Rice's national record from the suit era.
  9. A stream is listed again: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BcOjCaPzJTw Will be interesting to see if it disappears again.
  10. The stream was listed for a short while this morning before it disappeared so that might be how SwimSwam got the link. Hope I'm wrong but I think you're gonna need a VPN tonight to watch at 9now.
  11. Meg Harris just went 52.60 in the 100 free heats at Australian Championships (not trials meet). First PB in this event since Tokyo trials where she went 52.9.
  12. The US women look like they're gonna be very strong in the 4x1 free this year (provided no one lays an egg again). The Aussies are gonna have to bring their best.
  13. My impression is that it's mostly white westerners that complain about Comm Games' colonial origin. The loudest even seem to be from a certain powerful country that's not even part of the Commonwealth.
  14. A Comm Games in Africa would be great.
  15. Australia screwed up by not time trialing the mixed 4x4 seriously because it's the only 4x4 they had chance qualifying for Paris.
  16. So it's not dead - yet. Commonwealth Games to decide on next host in May
  17. It would be nice to finally see a whole podium quicker than 2009 (21.08, 21.21, 21.25). Even better would be to see the world record erased.
  18. Noe Ponti just popped a 50.16 in the 100 fly at Swiss Champs!!
  19. So I guess Guy has been focussing more on free It's a shame when a country fills one hole in their medley only for another to appear.
  20. Wait and see what Guy does in the 100 fly. He looked very good in the 100 free just now and the fly is usually his better 100 event.
  21. Singapore rules out hosting the games. https://www.straitstimes.com/sport/singapore-rules-out-hosting-the-2026-commonwealth-games
  22. Very impressive heat swim from Adam Peaty clocking 58.53. Unlike his other races since his return he looked good the whole way. Now let's see if he can repeat it or better in the final ...
  23. Apparently the ASU swimmers didn't know until today and many are pissed. Not a great season for this kind of upheaval.
