  1. On-screen graphics and commentary for finals. Hope it doesn't revert back again tomorrow.
  2. Eyerollingly ridiculous performance.
  3. Does this mean we might see Kolesnikov and Chikunova applying for neutrality?
  4. I thought they already did? Efimova tried to qualify for Paris and Evgenii Somov competed in Paris.
  5. Kaylee back breaking WRs at random meets again. Okay maybe short court nationals isn't too random.
  6. 49.11 for McLaughlin. Pretty underwhelming after all the hype.
  7. Seems to me SML wouldn't be getting this special treatment if she were from another country.
  8. Just realised Torrie Lewis set a NR in the 100 in January and was still able to get up and go a PB in the 200 in Lima. Impressive management of her season.
  9. Some were even competing at a high level already in January. Hollingsworth and Craig were both quite a way off their best in Lima. I hope in future Olympic years we can hold the selection meet a bit later in the year (it's in April currently). That'd require hosting it further north so probably in Queensland.
  10. Melbourne could've just used the money to host a downsized Comm Games in existing venues in Melbourne. What an idiot Dan Andrews is!
  11. Looks like it wasn't only East Germany doping their athletes. https://www.bbc.com/sport/olympics/articles/crlrn9re3z5o
  12. Seems the Comm Games are not yet dead. Glasgow has agreed to host a downsized Comm Games in 2026 with 10 sports down from 17 in 2014. https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/13329851/major-development-glasgow-2026-commonwealth-agreement-reached/
  13. Progression in the 800 is almost as outrageous.
  14. Add it to the long list of problems with this Olympics.
  15. It easy to see why he might think Lyles is loud and arrogant.
  16. Amusan back to her normal level. Her short peak coincided with skipping tests. 🧐
  17. *Brisbane 2032. Of course there'll be finals in the morning sessions in 2032. Finals only get shared between both sessions when it benefits Europe and/or North America.
  18. Hope a future schedule will allow him to do the 200/400 double because he has more potential the 400 than the 100 but not being from an influential country means it'll probably never happen.
  19. They should always mix them up between morning and evening sessions like they did for Tokyo so all timezones can see some live finals action. The East Asian/Oceanian timezones mustn't have been deemed important enough to do it this time. 💩
  20. The relay is fun but that didn't make it into the Olympics. Maybe next time ...
  21. Naser will be a very good rabbit but there's a big chance she just keeps going like in 2019. Think Paulino looked the most comfortable in the semis.
  22. It's only banned in competition and his games are already over.
  23. So much for Australia only being good at swimming.
  24. It's actually becoming less common with many countries becoming increasingly able to train their own athletes at home.
  25. So many complaints about Marchand being trained by an American but if you for interests sake remove Marchand from the results no American gains a gold medal so Bob Bowman training Marchand (and Kos) isn't why the Americans did so poorly compared to past Olympics.
