  1. not weird than people in certain places want her dead and buried already in an ongoing investigation. what about innocent until proven guilty? or that phrase applies only when we like it. (and that certainly doesn't apply to a Russian, because they are animals, right? that's how certain western media see people in other countries) if one day she finds guilty. then that's the time to punish the adults who are responsible for this. no matter what a 15 years old can never be responsible herself for such a thing.
  2. that was really sad. I'm not going to write more about this because it won't be nice at all. I learned more about how things works in some western media after this story (not that I didn't know but that was a new low) mission accomplished they managed to destroy that 15 years old criminal monster. I hope she comes back, I wish she comes back stronger but I doubt it. this will be really hard for her. she probably needs a very long break to recover (if she ever does) I genuinely wish her the best of luck for the rest of her life and her career (if there is a career left)
  3. thanks guys well you always here something new. that's one of the dumbest things ever. is it really hard for FIS officials to set the courses themselves and make it more fair ?
  4. I wanted to ask a question about that long time ago. I heard that a lot from the Eurosport commentators. it was just hard to believe. how come such a thing happens. at first I thought maybe that's part of the host nation thing. but apparently that's not the case @phelps how come they decide who set the course ? randomly, is there a draw or something ? or whoever smiles better gets that ?
  5. I think the Russian went for a safe jump after watching the others failing . the degree of difficulty of his jump was much lower comparing to the rest. (while I think his initial jump was 5, but he changed it to something like 4.5)
  6. I wonder what @hckošice is doing now before the penalties
  7. will they award the Olympic diplomas here in Beijing ? or that should wait too like the medals ? I mean the clean Alysa Liu has a chance to win a diploma , her Olympic moment shouldn't be ruined or her daddy will be upset. we don't want that, do we ?
  8. Thanks. I know a great deal of nothing about Ice hockey I mean yeah I know the basic, as i know that about every other sport but I don't think I ever watched a full 60 minutes hockey match. just not my taste but recently I started to learn more and understand the sport better good luck tomorrow
  9. how many skaters boycotted the competition so far ? that should be a huge number based on speculation here and some other online places. I mean some American skater's dad was upset, that was a big deal.
  10. Congrats any chance you can beat the USA ? I might end up watching that QF match also congrats for Vlhova's gold medal (yeah I know it's late but still)
  11. our local broadcaster is more interested in Ski Jumping. I have no idea why fortunately I have access to some other TV channels and can watch whatever I want
  12. not for Tsvetkov. after two very close 4th place finishes at least he can leave Beijing with something
  13. can't wait to see who is the first user saying that China cheated in another judging sport for the gold
  14. You always can watch some Curling instead
  15. I got that my question was, why the rules are different here for monobob events ? any special reason?
  16. and why is that ? Germans can't afford making their owns monobobs ?
  17. the great Justin Gatlin still keeps all of his 5 Olympic medals. we will be fine
  18. great news. hopefully she wins the gold and will be allowed to keep it eventually. (which is still a different story) there are lots of questions about this case. Russia did terrible things in case of doping and deserves to be punished (and is being punished) but we are talking about 15 years old ffs. and everybody knew Russia will win this gold (and team event gold) with or without Kamila. of course this should be investigated and whoever responsible for this (coach, doctor etc) should be punished but meanwhile I'm glad to see her performing two more times. hopefully this whole thing doesn't effect her performance.
  19. I don't think it has anything to do with the medalists. MAYBE they just don't know what to do with the Italian who received a DNF. giving him the 5th place in the ranking or not (instead giving it to the 1st place from Final B) just a wild guess though
  20. I never make a list. I simply wake up early in the morning (as early as the first final of the day) and watch as many events as possible until the end of the day. and then switch to do my own things. but as usual. after a week the lack of sleep is making life hard for me. and I guess to have make some decisions the last time Beijing hosted the Olympics I was really sick in last days of the Games. (and I was 14 years younger) I managed Tokyo 2020 much better but this time for this WOG I'm not completely free and have to make time for the other things so I guess snowboard cross mixed team is going to be the first WOG final I'm not going to watch live since a very long time
  21. really happy for Wierer's bronze. I hope some miracle happens in next 2 races and she wins a gold eventually
  22. I noticed this guy in every single Luge race. always standing there. always "not looking" to the luger at all. always looking to another direction today he is wearing something black but I think he was usually in white. is this a common thing to put a human scarecrow near the luge track ?
  23. quick question, if the best USA team (with NHL players) was supposed to play the best China team (without these naturalized American and Canadian players) what would be the scoreline ? I know it would be ugly but how much ? and what we should except today ? still a one-sided match not worthy of watching?
  24. what about gender equality? why each team had 2 male and 1 female members (I know it's 1 M, 1 F and the last one is open but that automatically means a second male) Short track, Freestyle skating and Ski Jumping are debuting their first ever mixed events in the olympics here. right ? I bet Tommy Bach and his friends already have a committee in place thinking about how to create a mixed event in football, basketball and handball they won't rest until we have mixed events everywhere
