  1. China announced the Olympic list Men: Gao Lei, Dong Dong Women: Zhu Xueying, Liu Lingling
  2. lost to 2:3 in last 5 minutes. So the situation all changed in a sudden. It seems China will most probably advance to top12 now.
  3. If national team get involved, it could persuade one to change weight class.
  4. China finally have a winning over Brazil after a string of 4 loses. It kinda feels like back to Rio with a 3-2. All key players are currently under a short term quarantine and will come back next match on 12th.
  5. Politics is everywhere especially when it seems political correctness.
  6. Good luck to Federica Pellegrini then. Still need American and Australian blessing.
  7. NO.4 At least 2 Youth Olympic Gold medallist from 2018 will be Olympic Gold Medallist Just in China, one is for sure and one is possible. Sun Yingsha, 2018 table tennis women's singles champion, will win women's team for sure. Yang Junxuan, 2018 swimming relay gold medalist, is among gold medal contenders in 200m free with 1:54.57 Asian record in national trial. She will not attend 400m or 1500m so I think she is competitive even compared to Ledecky.
  8. I am afraid the Refugee South Sudan team is bigger than South Sudan team.
  9. Where do the quotas come from? And what if it breaks the fragile gender parity?
  10. Tomorrow there will be lots of bloggers help calculate the scores and analyze the situation. China just won over the Philippines. But the whole situation is still a mess. Good luck to Iran and China.
  11. Well someone called it fairness since they missed the trials and underperformed in extra trial.
  12. The total amount of female and male athletes still remain the same. You can imagine it's sprint canoeing. It happens because some athletes attend multiple events so it released some reallocation quotas.
  13. If not count the continental quotas I think so
  14. Japan Men's team announced the list Team: Daiki Hashimoto, Kazuma Kaya, Wataru Tanigawa, Takeru Kitazono Individual: Kohei Uchimura + the one wins the World Cup quota
  15. I think Greece is never on the list not removed from the list. I am also confused why it didn’t submit the result to FINA in time or it have no such plan at all. I am also confused that some countries’ results showed as club’s such as Hungary and Korea. I am not if they will be counted. Hope FINA release the official list soon don’t confuse us any longer.
  16. it‘s supposed to release the final list on June 11th. Maybe one or two days delay due to their procedure.
  17. 1. Women’s volleyball, Men’s team gymnastics, Men’s 10m diving 2. ( if it refers other NOC, then I will put and first two, political correctness) 3. Liu Xiang (2004 110m hurdles champion) Li Na (2008 tennis semi-finalist) Lin Dan( 2008 and 2012 badminton champion) I also would like to share 3 favorite foreign athletes Lee Chong Wei (2008,2012,2016 badminton medalist) Rafael Nadal (2008 tennis champion) Nathan Chen (2018 Figure skating Olympian)
  18. China Team A will arrive in June 5th, they will play from 6th or 7th I guess. China is eager to play with strong teams as they have no such chances after 2019 World Cup. All top players will show up later. China is performing so bad until now even it’s a team B. Hopefully things will get better.
  19. China has not yet release the squad list because of Cao Yuan's injury. If count him in, I think it will be 11 persons and it will be 10 without him. I guess it also will release some reallocation quotas.
  20. Can't believe that the soap opera is still going on. His reportedly neutralization process remains unclear. It's still possible that he go back to Korea or trying to represent China but rejected by Korea (only in OG).
  21. I didn't follow the Asian qualifier previously and I saw it from Wikipedia. It shows Hong Kong and Korea receive the W1x quotas and Hong Kong Rowing federation website confirmed the Hong Kong one. So I think it refers that Hong Kong automatically lost LM2x. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rowing_at_the_2020_Summer_Olympics_–_Qualification
  22. I originally thought the same as you. But after reading the qualification document I am even more confused. How to interpret the bold part? If the boat qualified through a Continental Qualification regatta, the quota place will be reallocated to the next highest placed boat from an NOC that has not yet qualified a boat for the Olympics, whether through the World Rowing Championships or the Continental Qualification regatta. Where there are no further crews to which qualifying places can be allocated, such places shall be added to the qualifying places in the same event at the Final Qualification regatta.
  23. According to Wiki (I know it might not be 100% accurate) Hong Kong declined the LM2X continental quota. May I confirm the reallocation order is 1.continental qualifier, 2. 2019 WCH, 3. 2021 Regatta? If so, in this case is the order 1. 2019 WCH Final D, 2 2019 WCH Final F,3 2021 Regatta?
  24. China will not held relay on summer national championships.
