  1. I can’t believe I forgot cycling and tennis! Didn’t realise about the others
  2. I think it’s only theoretically possible in a handful of sports Archery - maybe the Korean women? Equestrian - very unlikely Golf - American men/women. Korean women? Athletics the one with most chances? Ethiopia did it in women’s 10,000m last year at world champs.
  3. The women's 800m and the men's mile look ridiculously strong
  4. Also, interestingly enough (to me), of the 6 nations with the highest number of boats qualified so far, none will have a lightweight men's double in Paris. Those top 6 could change with qualifiers here but currently they're Romania, Netherlands, Australia, GB, USA and New Zealand. Only the USA attempted to qualify in Lucerne
  5. Finalists by country 6 5 4 3 2 1 Countries without a quota so far still involved in finals (not inc re-allocated spots); Estonia, Portugal, Moldova, Slovenia, Sweden No nation will have the full quota of 14 boats and 46 rowers. The USA could have 13 if their 5 remaining crews here finish top 2
  6. Men’s single sculls final (listed in semi result order) the B final will see and fight for the re-allocated spot (see above for explanation on Slovenia!)
  7. Yes, completely fair. Do you know how they decide order of preference? Choice by Slovenia if they win both, or best result?
  8. Lightweight women’s final Lightweight men’s final (rep) Men’s quad (Rep)
  9. Women’s single sculls final Slovenia is eligible for the re-allocated host quota. I don’t know if they can get both men’s and women’s here
  10. Men’s four final ( heat wins) (rep 1) (rep 2)
  11. Men’s double sculls final
  12. Women’s double sculls final (heat winners) (rep finish)
  13. Men’s pairs final This could be a great final
  14. Men’s Single sculls semi finalists (listed in QF result order) Slovenia, Hungary and Monaco can get the re-allocated host country spot
  15. Tremendous drama with and securing Olympic tickets with buzzer beaters No rooting interesting for me, but the emotion is great to see
  16. Yeah, always wary about reading too much into prelim races as some crews can knock it off quickly enough if there’s little to be gained from a sprint.
  17. no real shocks in the heats and a long way to go there. In the prelim races (ie just a warm up with the same crews racing a straight final), the following would be the top 2 to qualify Women’s pair (but within a second) Women’s four Women’s quad ( were close) Women’s eight ( not far off) Men’s eight
  18. They’ll likely only have a stream for the final day
  19. Sharlene Mawdsley in 400m. Runs 50.72 in Poland today results
  20. Brandon McNulty won the men’s ITT and guaranteed himself a spot on the team
  21. Men’s pair not set yet maybe? The crews for World Cup II have been announced. The world bronze team from last year has been split and we’ve entered two pairs Ross Corrigan is with John Kearney Nathan Timoney is with Jack Dorney 2 squads for the double sculls too Doyle & Lynch stay together Sheehen & Colsh together in a double for the first time (I think) The lightweight doubles are back too
  22. will qualify a few women at 800m but it’s worth noting that Phoebe Gill ran 1:57.86 in the Irish Milers meeting in Belfast She just turned 17 a few weeks ago!
  23. Is it just one quota available in the k1-1000m?
  24. The only exception to this is a medical exemption, but you’re correct in general
