There’s no real “invitation” involved with pro boxing. It’s all money driven. She fought for world titles in summer 2023 and lost. Theres no rules (now) about pros entering the Olympics and there’s many active “pros” who have qualified and are attempting to qualify for the Olympics (though some national federations are against it) Her opponent in the next round is Donjeta Sadiku who has won medals at world and European level but hasn’t had any wins against top class opponents.

BTW the tournament is “box until qualification”. So with those weights (most) where there are 4 quotas, there will be no semi finals

And with the rankings being based on best 2 of 3 Nations Cup results, we will have most quotas mathematically confirmed after Hong Kong -
12 nations are already qualified so they're not included. In total 19 boats qualify for the games.

Some sports are more predictable than others. In rowing by the time the Olympics start we can guarantee about 8 of the gold medal winners Track cycling is similar. Effectively any of the “against the clock” events we’ll have a fair idea.

They’re not abnormally small for most nations. Maybe GB is (particularly as it’s a home event) and the US is but for everyone else it’s pretty much the norm. The fields will likely be the same size Ireland teams 2013 - 3 2014 - 5 2016 - 1 2018 - 5 2022 - 16 (2 relay teams)
