  2. Looks like Badminton NL will be "killed" by NOC*NSF
  3. Yes he's the last qualifier as of now
  4. Mark Caljouw won't be going to Paris since the Dutch NOC decided he is not good enough according to the strict internal criteria
  5. Yeah I also liked , for me it's the only song that reached "really good" level in my ears. There are other good songs, but none came close to Ukraine.
  6. They were given time until 24 May to choose 2 out of 4 CR quotas. There will be updated version of the list in the upcoming weeks.
  7. In Tokyo 2020 when they didn't get one, some Nepali complained and questioned the fairness of the tripartite system... Now they get it for Paris 2024 and hide the good news from the player?
  8. Seems like I chose the wrong year for re-following the contest lol
  9. The refugee quota was not counted as tripartite, the remaining tripartite quota was not used and reallocated to the athlete from
  10. 41 Men's Singles will be drawn into 13 groups where two of the groups will have 4 players instead of 3 39 Women's Singles will be drawn into 13 groups of 3 players
  11. These two nations received universality quotas in badminton: (Men's singles) and (Women's singles)

  13. Mendrek/Kral won't have any issue with the outcome of this dispute. They are safe. The one who should be watching this is the next eligible men's singles player since an extra quota would open in men's singles if the Popovs are selected. In normal circumstances, indeed France can just simply choose who should play in Paris 2024 (be it from ranking or who the federation deemed to have better chances). But this is caused by BWF which did not do their job properly and Corvee/Labar got robbed caused by a mistake that is only fixed after the last tournament for Olympic qualification. The French Federation doesn't want to be a villain to their own players, so they simply handed this mess to the one who caused it (and tried their luck a bit with this excessive demand).
  14. Very unlikely will get one since they've already qualified one athlete in men's singles.
  15. The Race to Paris miscalculation drama entered a new chapter with FFBaD now wants both French pairs qualified. Not sure how they will deal with this, for sure 17 pairs will be causing problems in the group format. Even if they created a special preliminary match between both French pairs, an extra headache might happen if the Popovs win (since it will open an extra MS quota)
  16. Dong/Yakura has sealed their places together with Chiu/Yuan by reaching semifinal of Pan Am Champs
  17. Nope we aren't doing that. As long as the two state solution is not fulfilled, there won't be - diplomatic relations. It's the stance for 75 years and won't change in the foreseeable future.
  18. Well unfortunately that last hasty C&J lift cost Rahmat dearly… It is what it is. No dispute or anything else from what I have read.
  19. Hopefully that elusive gold will come in Paris, so the sport will be well-funded than before and we can actually become a powerhouse. Top athlete like Rahmat Abdullah still train in a dilapidated gym without electricity and using rusty weights owned by his father (who is also his coach). Most of the weightlifting Olympians of this country hails from the same province and also the same club, where the club founder fed and trained those poor kids into Olympians for free. If the athletes can get results in such shit conditions, imagine if Indonesian weightlifting have a better funding.
