The Draw Will Start in 40 Minutes Let me start with the great news that all 39 nations have officially made it, there won't be any disqualifications in this edition! We are only missing the votes of two jury members, @Gianlu33 and @Olympian1010, but they are multi-jury members, so I can wait for their votes for a new few more days. But I can't wait forever, I will have to finalize and send the ballots out to everyone soon, which will probably happen this weekend, so please, send those few missing votes as soon as you can. Now let's get ready for the Draw. First I would like to thank @mrv86 who made two beautiful grids for the draw. The first grid is full of delicious Easter dishes from all over the world, plus some dishes that are made for other holidays during this time of the year in countries that don't celebrate Easter. You will draw the 39 countries out of this grid. The second grid features some of the greatest Hungarian athletes ever from both the older and the newer generations. You will draw the 39 numbers of the voting order from this grid. We need some volunteers for this draw, I obviously can't draw myself because that voting order would be anything but random. So please join us at 19:00 CEST in 40 minutes to determine the voting order and the team lineups. Here's where I will list the volunteers: @Wumo @Cinnamon Bun @hckošice (from 20:00) @Cobi And here are the grids: A B C D E F G 1 Zurek (Poland) Tarta Pascualina (Argentina) Tsoureki (Greece) Cape Pickled Fish (South Africa) Nádivka (Czech Republic) Malarrabia (Peru) Mämmi (Finland) 2 Bacalhoada (Brazil) Hot Cross Bun (Great Britain) Hrudka (Slovakia) Capirotada (Mexico) Fesikh (Egypt) Påskmus (Sweden) Figolla (Malta) 3 Pizza Chiena (Italy) Folar de Carne (Portugal) Pesaha Appam (India) Easter Eggs Pasca (Romania) Khao Chae (Thailand) Chipá (Paraguay) 4 Pisillo de Chigûire (Venezuela) Sárgatúró (Hungary) Roasted Ham (USA) Ma'amoul (Lebanon) Fanesca (Ecuador) Matzah Brei (Israel) Escovitch (Jamaica) 5 Kerbelsuppe (Germany) Chakapuli (Georgia) Broodhaantje (Netherlands) Pâté de Pâques berrichon (France) Harisa (Armenia) Mona de Pascua (Spain) Tempura (Japan) 6 Schinken im Brotteig (Austria) Flaounes (Cyprus) Pinca (Croatia) Kozunak (Bulgaria) A B C D E F G 1 Ágnes Keleti Antal Kovács Tibor Benedek Tímea Nagy Tamás Darnyi Éva Székely László Cseh 2 Aladár Gerevich Katinka Hosszú Shaoang Liu & Sándor Liu Emília Rotter & László Szollás Danuta Kozák Viktor Barna Gergely Kulcsár 3 Diána Igaly Krisztina Egerszegi Katalin Kovács Krisztián Berki Zoltán Kammerer Dezső Gyarmati Áron Szilágyi 4 K. The Official Logo Dear users of Totallympics, the wait for the official logo of the 2022 Totallympics Annual International Song Contest is finally over, just in time for the draw! The logo is the work of our great @vinipereira, thank you so much for your contribution! The inspiration behind the logo were Hungarian folk motives which very often feature birds and flowers. And there was one particular interpretation of our folk motives that we used as the main inspiration. It's the title card of a well-known Hungarian animated TV series which has adapted 100 Hungarian folk tales over the last 4 decades. The melody of this TV intro is firmly embedded in my head, it was probably one of the first things I saw on TV when I was a child, and the same must be true for many Hungarians. Both its design and melody are timeless and represent our traditions.

The Team Challenge The fun team event of TISC returns, this time with 10 teams competing for glory! The teams are named after 10 Hungarian cities, some you may know, like our capital. No, not that one, that's Romania's capital. Yep, it's Budapest, not Bucharest. Anyway, good luck not messing up the spelling of some of these cities! The "franchise names" will be in English, that should make the event easier to follow for you. Here are the teams and the numbers of the voting order that are assigned to them: Team Session 1 Session 2 Session 3 Session 4 Budapest Capitals 1 10 20 30 Debrecen Flowers 2 11 21 31 Miskolc Cavers 3 12 22 32 Pécs Scholars 4 13 23 33 Győr Rivers 5 14 24 34 Kecskemét Goats 6 15 25 35 Fehérvár Saints 7 16 26 36 Szombathely Romans 8 17 27 37 Tatabánya Falcons 9 18 28 38 Eger Heroes 19 29 39 9 of the teams will have 4 members, one team, the Eger Heroes, will have three. They will have to live up to their name to win the challenge. What kind of a team challenge will it be this year? The Format There will be 4 rounds for the 4 sessions of the Grand Final. For each round only the points scored in that particular session will count. The sum of the three highest scoring team members will be the team score, the team member with the lowest score won't be counted. If there isn't a 4th team member, the scores of all the team members will be counted. Each round will be a race where the lowest scoring teams get eliminated. Teams will get eliminated every round until there will only be one team left by the end of the Grand Final, the winners. Round 1 [Session 1] - 10 teams, last 3 teams get eliminated, 7 teams advance to the next round Round 2 [Session 2] - 7 teams, last 3 teams get eliminated, 4 teams advance to the next round Round 3 [Session 3] - 4 teams, last 2 teams get eliminated, 2 teams advance to the gold medal match Gold Medal Match [Session 4] - 2 teams, 1st team wins the challenge, 2nd team will be the runner-up We will have repechage rounds for the eliminated teams. Repechage 1 [Session 2] - 3 teams (last 3 from Round 1), last team gets eliminated, 2 teams advance to the next repechage round Repechage 2 [Session 3] - 5 teams (top 2 from Repechage 1, last 3 from Round 2), last 3 teams get eliminated, 2 teams advance to the bronze medal race Bronze Medal Race [Session 4] - 4 teams (top 2 from Repechage 2, last 2 from Round 3), 1st team wins the bronze medal If two or more teams have the same team score in any round, the score of the lowest scoring 4th team members will be used as tie-breakers. If one of the tied teams doesn't have a 4th team member, that team automatically wins the tie-breaker. If the teams are still tied after using the 4th team members as tie-breakers, the 3rd highest scoring team members will be used as tie-breakers. And then the 2nd highest scoring team members if necessary. In the unlikely scenario where two or more teams are still tied, the current rankings on the Grand Final Scorecard will be the tie-breakers, the team with the highest ranked team member wins the tie. If somehow the team members are tied on the Scorecard in a way that even the rankings can't break the tie in the team event, I will wave a literal white flag and give up on breaking the tie. Good luck everyone, may the best team win!

Well, the rules say 2 weeks so I thought 13 days would be enough. I wanted to have the draw on a weekend to make the participation easier for the volunteers so I cut a day out of the voting for a draw on Sunday, but I guess I should have known that having the draw so close to the deadline will be a bad idea.
-
The Draw Is Postponed to Tuesday Currently we are waiting for the votes from 9 jury members. Many of them promised to send their votes today, but I don't want to cut it so close to the draw, so I am postponing it to Tuesday. The draw will be held on April 26th at 19:00 CEST, two and a half days from now, hopefully that will be enough time for everyone to vote. I think @Glen is the only one who didn't respond before the deadline, but I will accept the votes from him as well if he sends them in time. @catgamer @Yannakis@Dnl@Gianlu33 @Glen@mrv86 @rybak@justony @Olympian1010 Festival of Music Begins While we are waiting for the contest to move forward, you can start claiming nations and sending songs now to the Festival of Music section of our contest. As always, the song eligibility rules are the same as in the main event and every user can claim up to two nations that don't participate in this year's edition. The users are free to claim any eligible nation, they don't have to have any affiliation with their chosen country or countries. Let's have some fun with songs from countries all over the world!
-
4 Hours (or more) Left to Vote 31 jurors from 27 nations have voted so far. We are waiting for the votes from 17 jury members. Many of you contacted me asking for an extension. For now I will just post this reminder, I will make an announcement tomorrow morning based on how many votes we are missing. I will postpone the draw if I have to. The draw is Easter themed but I can convince the bunny that Easter is a bit delayed for us this year. @Damian @Agger@Finnator123@catgamer@maestro @Yannakis@Fly_like_a_don@Dnl@Gianlu33 @Glen@mrv86 @Wanderer@rybak@justony @amen09@Olympian1010@Memo
-
Btw, three jurors haven't been active since the voting started: @Damian @catgamer @Memo I have sent them PMs to remind them. I think the rest of the jury members know about the deadline so for now I won't bother them. I am sure you all are trying your best to find some free time to listen to the songs and to come up with a ranking.
-
It's not the end of the world if you will send the votes a couple of hours after the deadline, but I think we can't really make any exceptions once the draw starts on Sunday. Is that right, @OlympicIRL? I mean, maybe we can, I am not sure. It's obviously risky to include countries in the draw that might still get disqualified. But you are a long time participant of the contest so maybe we can just trust you that your votes will arrive and there won't any issues.
