  1. has a slight chance. But Italy and the Netherlands are indeed quite clearly the best two teams in Europe. If we're going by current form Italy appears quite a bit stronger.
  2. Just wanting to chime in (I *am* a US resident ) to thank Rdbc for the write ups. They are quite good.
  3. That's a pretty odd record.
  4. EVO is this week-end (broadcasted on Twitch). It's the biggest fighting game event in the world, with over 10,000 entrants over about 8 games. It's a fun event, and doesn't require a ton of knowledge of the games to enjoy.
  5. Rough day for the Italian team, first the loss in extra innings against Australia (a game they would have won if not for an error), then a 1 run loss against Canada. Still, I think they are proving to be the best European team.
  6. Taiwan managed to beat South Africa by 21 runs to 0 thanks to a thirteen run top of the 4th inning. That's a very unusual score given the mercy rule xD
  7. Yes, but a new IF should be established and major reforms need to be implemented. This can’t be done in time for 2020 but should be done for 2024.
  8. You know, the more I think about 3x3's qualification system, the more baffled I am by it. It's just so ******* ridiculous and completely unfit for the Olympics.
  9. 3x3 might legitimately have the worst qualification system in the history of the Olympics...
  10. I read the rule as saying that a nation is allowed one entry per gender. Especially due to point b.
  11. The irony is that only the most hardcore of hardcore Olympic fans even know about the YOG. It has zero mainstream appeal.
  12. Well, we had the single biggest favorite across every events in 2018 (Mikaël Kingsbury) which, to me, was a foreign and nerve wrecking experience. As for 2020, I think Ledecky in the 800 and 1500 has to be the biggest favorite in any individual events.
  13. Ellie Soutter, who was due to compete at the World Junior championships in Snowboardcross, has died on her 18th birthday.
  14. The Chris Froome hate is getting out of hand xD
  15. Thomas looking darn pretty good today. I think surely Sky has to make him their uncontested leader for the end of the Tour.
  16. My sugestion: Figure skating: remove the team event quota and the host quota for pairs and ice dance, which reduces the overall figure skating quota by 10. Have the team event quota come from the regular event (so, for example, if Japan needs a pair to complete their team it comes from the pairs quota) and let team event only athletes compete in the regular event. Short Track: reduce by 4. Short track has never used it’s full quota of 120 anyway. Speed Skating: reduce overall quota by 12. To accomodate this reduce field size for the 500m, 1000m and 1500m to 30.
  17. Wow, I’m speechless. That’s just tragic...
  18. FIS says that either Alpine Combined or Parallel Slalom will be included. Decision will be made by November.
  19. Because the men’s basketball final is always such a great match xD
  20. 23 is actually a really reasonable quota for a hockey team. 22 players can dress for a game, plus a third goaltender.
  21. They talked about it during the press conference.
  22. Men’s Street Skateboarding is schedueled for primetime, first Saturday of the games in the US. Just in case you where wondering if it would he a big deal on NBC.
