    He was born in Texas. He's eligible to vote in elections in Texas (unless he gave up his US citizenship at some point), he's a Texan. Obviously not questioning that he's 100% Italian. I've made similar comments about Canadian athletes with connections to Texas fwiw.

    Bromell doesn't have automatic qualification. We still don't know if his 10.00 is faster than Omurwa's. Edit: Bromell is slower than Omurwa. Bromell is on the bubble for the finals.

    Crazy achievement for Andrade. I can't even begin to imagine what this means to Brazilian WAG. Also huge congrats to Skinner for winning silver after being left off the team and initially missing out on the finals and to Yeo for throwing down the best single vault of the night.

    Ya, I would order it highest execution score > least neutral deductions > tie not broken.

    They tied on execution score. Second tie-breaker is difficulty, and since Dolgopyat had a 0.1 neutral deduction it means his difficulty was 0.1 higher.
