Two interesting items: 1. Sverre Olsbu Roeisland will be the new women's coach of Germany! He is the husband of Marte. That should make for some interesting discussions. 2. German Nordic Skier Antonia Fraebel will start biathlon this year.

Round-up of news stories Austrian Julien Eberhard has officially retired. The 35 year old only raced twice last season due to an injury sustained in Ostersund. Swiss Martin Jaeger has retired. I wonder if his placement on the B-Team impacted this decision? He was one of the biathletes that I enjoyed following. One that could, on the right day, make things interesting. The Swiss men's team next year will be much younger. No Weger, no Jaeger, not Tamborino (still unsure about this one though). French Junior biathlete Laura Boucaud has retired at age 21. She won the 2000 World Junior Relay title, and was the Silver medalist in the European Championship Sprint. She did not race since the Winter of 2020-2021 due to various health issues, mental and physical. She gave an interview that is very interesting to read. Johannes Dale will marry former biathlete Kristina Skjevdal.
