    Brazil? :mumble::lol:

    Edit: OK… maybe you’re right on that

    Slovenia are realistic medal contenders IMO (although I’d agree that they’re a tier below, but I don’t think the gap is as big as you), and I think US should be a tier below Slovenia with Muagututia on their team. Germany (who have rested Krick and Grozer a lot) might be an outside chance, but they’ll need a lot of luck.

    And as for Canada, we’ll see…

    Brazil and USA certainly a step below.

    Slovenia... I don't think they are clutch in big games but with such strong record in VNL I can't write them off.

    Germany was great in the OQT but winning a medal with such mid team and an ancient star would be asking too much.

    I mainly agree with you, for our economic situation we cant expect more than this, even i see more medals chances than in Tokyo.

    We don't have more medal chances, mutatis mutandis it's the same chances. And only because we're assuming the football team will be better, which is to be seen.

    0 boxers and 1 swimmer yet most things are going well apparently. Ok guys.

  3. It was a disastrous qualification cycle. Lowest number of athletes since 1992. But totally expected due to economic circumstances. It's not just that sport is a non priority for the government right now, they're acting that it doesn't exist basically.

    -Failed to qualify in Basketball for the 1st time since 2000.

    -Failed in beach Volleyball for the 1st time since 2008.

    -Failed to qualify in Boxing for the 1st time since 1908 (!).

  4. AIN status is unfair because, for me, it's gotta be either complete ban or full participation.

    No ridiculous "neutrality", no social media police, IOC either goes fully political or ignores everything keeping politics out of sport.

    They're currently trying to please both sides but end up displeasing everyone.

    Same applies to Israel case.

  5. Rodrigo Isgró got a 5 match suspension from World Rugby for his red card at the SVNS series grand final.

    However, if he's called for the union (XV) national team for the June-July international window he'll able to deduct matches from this suspension (yes, international rugby works like that apparently). It's likely that he'll be available to play the olympic tournament from quarterfinals onwards.
