Well, don't forget about in what age the Olympics are held. Not only injuries, but covid may somehow have a strong word either before or during the Olympics. I suppose some countries will travel with some extra who are "just below the qualification line" in case someone is out due to covid or restrictions related to that, so IOC can do a quick reallocation to athletes who are ready at the venue. I remember there were some situation like this in Tokyo. If I am correct something something about quadruple sculls in rowing?

Samková out 😭😭😭😭😭. Even the professional team around her and her strong will could not do enough. Both broken ankles are just nothing related to the Olympics. So the strongest gold medal contestant in women's snowboardcross is out. This might have cost two Olympic medals. As she was in a perfect shape and she even won silver at the WC mixed event with Jan Kubičík. I considered her as a medal contestant in both individual and mixed team event. This is just too sad to see. Without Eva, we don't have that strong team this year and I guess we will be super happy if we make 5 medals in total.

Oh yeah!!!!!! Another talented teenager on our team. Junior worlds runner-up. This is gonna be a great experience for her and a great boost for the future💪💪💪

It is amazing how we as public can check so many Olympic updates and know info earlier then some media. Speaking of quota, reallocations, etc. And not only winter games but also summer games, e.g. Judo, Badminton, Athletics, etc But I remember couple Olympic back it wasn't like that. Does anybody remember when FIS or other organizations started showing all these Olympic quota and allocation information to public? For me, big thumb up, hope all organisations of Olympic sports will be doing this in the future ...

For unknown reasons, refused 2 female quotas even though the name list was announced 4 days ago including 7 female athletes. On FIS, there are only 5 female athletes confirmed ..... Not sure why or what happened. But internal information is that they qualified 7 female athletes and they also listed them as officially nominated: Kateřina Janatová, Tereza Beranová, Petra Hynčicová, Petra Nováková, Zuzana Holíková, Barbora Antošová, Sandra Schützová

It just confirms how NOCs are dropping from the original idea of the Olympics ....... Coubertin does not really have a good sleep these days .....

Sometimes I wonder how stupid must be the internal qualification criteria ..... Sorry to speak about the strict criteria of NOC .... But I suppose your country is not the only having some "stupid" rules ....

What I know that they are waiting with the confirmation within some sports as they are expecting reallocation ....... In male CC there are 2 refusals - and ... which should give quota to and ..... I think they were expecting this is gonna come and they will most likely select another racer ..... There are 2 more sports .... as for ski jumping female, is 1st below the line, expecting to select either Stepanka Ptackova or Anezka Indrackova if the reallocation comes .... and in parallel snowboarding - Zuzana Maderova is 3 below the reallocation line ...... The team has been hoping for these 3 reallocation as in other FIS discipline we are far to low to recieve any reallocation .....

Yeah, I totally get it. You know, but if you look at Tokyo Games, mostly spectators were the team members who weren't competing that day ...... If Beijing wants to extend this, they need to consider more possibilities ...... If not school, then it should be some partners and sponsors and their family members but it still not as high amount as they might need. I am afraid the athmosphere will be dead again .....

After the refusals, is being offered 6th spot for Male skiers. Not sure whether they will accept it. There are several options for Czech to choose. 1) Ondřej Černý - excellent sprinter with great qualification results but always fails in quarterfinals (but not that good stamina and probably not very suitable for team sprint) 2) Tomáš Kalivoda - Can race decent in sprints (already earned points this season) and also in distance races 3) Jonáš Bešťák - average distance racer 4) Tomáš Lukeš - average distance racer. As for me, I would choose either Černý or Kalivoda ...

Well, as I can see that the personnel and some governmental official are refusing .... If I were in the skin of BOCOG, in order to bring the spectators in a "safe matter" and in order to develop the interest in winter sports in the country, I would give the tix to schools. Kids would have memory for life and the places would not be empty...... Just one concern about it is that it will be the winter vacation and maybe to follow the covid protocol while kids being out of the school might be a little difficult ....

Yeah, finally Adriana made. So happy for her. She deserves it so much ...... But still hoping also for the Dutch free skier in halfpipe to be selected. She had missed two Games cause of dumb internal selection method. Hope they pick her for Beijing though ....
