  13. Well, it was first reported in Mexico that she had consumed clembuterol; if that was the case, Mexico has a big problem with that substance, as cattle producers often use it in risky quantities in their livestock, which it has caused the meat becoming tainted, so it's a public risk; I remember some years ago, some people even dying after consuming tainted liver (it seems liver absorbs most of this drug). I remember in 2011 FIFA and PASO gave warnings to athletes coming to the country for the U-17 World Cup and the Pan Am Games about consuming any meat product during their stay. However, as you correctly point out, it's always suspicious how they always do it "without knowledge". I mean, if you're an elite athlete,, you should always consult a doctor who especializes in this kind of stuff before consuming any substance, even if legal.
  14. Mexican sabre competitor Paola Pliego tested positive in the last Pan American Championships. According to her, she ingested the substance unknowngly, yet she still will be out of the team that will compete in the Olympics.
  15. Mexico's Guadalupe Gonzalez will be upgraded to Gold medal in this year's Race Walk World Cup, due to doping by China's Hong Liu. Apaprently the Chinese was administered the substance by means of a massage lotion; she will compete in the Olympics, as she only received a one month suspension and the loss of her medal. article in Spanish

  19. MEXICO - 126 athletes (full list) I doubt there will be more additions, unless mroe male golfers continue to withdraw in which case a second men could be add.
