  1. Wow, what a disgusting conduct, but not surprised at all. Poor Cubans will do anything to have some money and have a better living in their country (via black market) I would like these allegation to be investigated and if proven, then a suspension to Russian and Turkish federations and for Lopez to forfeit all his accomplishments. Sorry, but this is against the spirit of fair competition.

  6. I'm really proud of Diego del Real advancing to the Olympic final. First Mexican to advance to that instance either at Olympics or World Championships in that event. Like Alvarez in triple jump, they are proving they're working hard this season. Tonight I hope a good result for Herrera in 200m, maybe even surpassing his own national record, even if making it to the final is out of the question. Vamos México
  7. I'm very proud of Marcos Pulido, making it to the B-final on his Olympic debut. I wish he could improve his level and qualify once more (this time directly) for the Tokyo Olympics. Oh, and also for Isaquias to win another medal for the hosts tomorrow
  8. I'm impressed by Tuncant and the Iranian competitor going out in the first round. Also proud of Itzel managing to advance to semis, although I expected Tijana to defeat her. Good job for the Serbian, now I want her to win the competition As for Navarro, he could have advanced to the final if he put his skills on it, however he will have to settle to fight for bronze tonight. Please, let us have two more medals at least
  9. Surprising indeed, but not too much considering she and her teammate don't get that much exposure in other competitions. Very nice results for the Canadian women, any of them can actually surprise the (other) favorites and get a medal. The Mexicans continue to dissapoint me great; is as, some friend put it, they are just hopeless, not wanting to fight for a medal. Let's see if Paola changes her mentality tomorrow for the semifinals and hopefully the final.
  10. Wow Drouin... again a battle between him, Barshim and Bondarenko. Congrats Canada and also for the only Qatari athlete that has my support
  11. What an unexpected final v. Let's go Leones

  15. Tough luck for Alberto Alvarez in triple jump final, but still a brave effort by himself. Also proud of Juan Jose Herrera winning his heat and advancing to semis in 200m... let's see if he improves his time in that round.
  16. Well in that case, that medal is more than deserved for him!
  17. Terrible draw by FIVB has ruined the men's tournament, with one "average" team advancing to the final to face the hosts. Let's go Brazil
  18. As usually, I get more useful info from you that from the website.
  19. It's so nice to see players from other countries fighting for the medals in this sport. Already two finals where no Chinese competitors are present, let's see what comes next. By the way I'm rooting for V. Sindhu Pusarla of India to make it to the podium
  20. Cognratulations to Conceicao and Brazil for that gold medal Also congratulations to Colombia and Valencia for another medal (color to be determined)
  21. Rommel I had my hopes high on him after his performance in the semifinal, but the nerves got the best of him and cost him the Olympic medal he has so long wanted. I doubt he will be in Tokyo (he's 30), but still I admire him, probably the best Mexican diver in the last 15 years.
  22. Congratulations. A great achievement for him indeed, and he can be one to watch four years from now.
  23. I'm happy for Hausding too, he deserves that medal. Also I agree on Laugher, pure arrogance but that doesn't diminish his talent.
  24. Wow, what a terrible luck for Argentina. Still USA team hasn't impressed me this time, this 'stars' seem to be overconfident, so whatever small chance your squad has, they shall go for it. I can't assure anything but if there was some match fixing indeed, then it's time to review the playing schedule to avoid similar cases
