I presume only a combined GB team actually becomes competitive in field hockey. Divide it among home nations and it's a complete wash for Wales & Scotland. Rugby is very much different, Wales & Scotland don't need Team GB to be successful.

Well, the Pan Pacific Open tournament is usually held towards the end of September and you can see why playing outdoors in Japan in the summer is a bad idea. Badosa didn't grow up in Spain IIRC so maybe that's why she isn't so used to extreme heat like most other Spanish players. A real shame but hopefully she bounces back during the USO Series.
