  3. imho, there's no problem at all...Deguchi is by far a better Judo player than Klimkait. if I were the Canadian coach, I wouldn't have any doubt and choose Deguchi all the time. on the other side, the Italian curse continues...it's unbelievable, but we've never had a male world champion in Judo and if we haven't got gold Today, we'll never win one. never. gotta be said, Today Lombardo was really, really unlucky, as on his winning throw, he went down on his head just a few hundreds of a second earlier than Stump's shoulder touched the ground and therefore he was (correctly, nothing to say about it...the rule is clear) disqualified for diving instead of being named the new world champion

  4. It’s so interesting that people mostly choose Valley speak to represent the whole US. It definitely shows the power of our entertainment industry in California. To be honest, it’s a moderate sub-section of the state that talks likes this, and it’s definitely played up for television and film. This series of three videos is very interesting if you haven’t seen it:

  5. & have had these laws since the EPO era, but this is a first for . A Texas man faces up to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to supplying performance-enhancing drugs to Olympic athletes. Eric Lira, 43, is the first defendant to be charged under a new US law introduced in the wake of Russia's state-backed Olympic doping scandals. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/athletics/65531036

  15. So disappointed by Norway....one of my favorite overall songs (so not just ESC) in terms of the studio version, but this was honestly a dramatic performance Malta sounded fun, Serbia went by rather unnoticed. A bit of half music and then it was suddenly done. Latvia...meh, not great.

  20. definitely not rigged no way the NHL would rig the draft for the big market team to draft a generational talent after losing their two previous franchise players this past year especially after they tried to cover up a sexual assault case for over a decade definitely not rigged, couldn't be possible

  22. I think it’s an interesting concept at least. Leave the gendered team events (and individual events) for the powerhouses, but set aside one event for the developing programs. I can at least respect the logic behind this attempt to boost medal counts, compared to leaving events off the program or adding a bunch of sports/events practiced almost exclusively in the host country.
